good, they beat Reading at Reading earlier in the season, and we really should have won that game, and it means that Forest have a better chance of staying up

True. A load of people will lose their jobs due to this, having done nothing wrong. I don't think they will be able to recover. But then again, I know shit all about football (hence supporting Saints).

The only good thing to come out of this is that there are 3 confirmed people interested in buying the club and the only reason an offer hasn't gone in so far is because they were/are waiting to see the outcome of this season before putting a valued offer in. These aren't consortiums either, actual people with money in their pockets so fingers crossed we can start heading in the right direction again. It's been inevitable for us to go even further down since Lowe came back. Oh well, Saturday should be interesting at least cause I have no idea how the crowd will react. I'm gutted obviously as well, it's only 6 years ago I was on my way to Cardiff for the FA Cup final :(

As a United fan my favourite memory of you lot was that bizarre game where you beat us 3-1 at the dell and we changed shirts at half time. Even though we got absolutely tanked in that first half it was quite funny overall.
Also liked the way the advertising boards were really close to the pitch.

Did you go on Saturday? The pitch invasion was embarrassing. Apparently there was a Portsmouth fan in the Burnley end who through the smoke bomb at the Saints fans.
Read this article, great summary of modern football.
Good turn around. My local club, apart from Bournemouth. Would be good to see them restore the club to glory.

Something has to be done. There are a lot of once brilliant clubs going to the wall, and a lot of small clubs buying success only to go the same way in a few years.
The Leeds situation is the prime example, they are far too big a club to be loitering a few divisions down. Then you've got Notts County who are trying to buy their success, which isn't right.

that may be so but after the bad fortunes of county nearly going out of the league and out of existance a few years ago you ask any county fan if the investment is right or wrong and they will either say they dont care (as long as we're winning or that its right.
and in regards to county buying success, that may be so to a point. but masses of money is being sidelined for training facilities, accadamy funds etc. i think the idea is to get players at the moment to get us out of league 2 and 1 while working hard on training and coaching young homegrown tallent and keeping them. if that was the case is that buying success? yes but more morally acceptable

Fair play but it would definitely be fair to say that their chances of doing so without actually having heavy investment are minimal. You said yourself you almost went out of the league. Football is no longer organic, and I guess there is nothing anyone can do about that.
Also, it'd be interesting to see if every English league team is represented by a .orger.
