I think Oasis can still do it though. I'd say out of the last 10 new oasis songs, theres 2 good ones, thats not a bad ratio! Will be interesting to see what Blurs new material is like..

I was 11 when they became popular man, how could I possibly have gone off them after that? They were popular from the start.
There is a trend, however, of people who like them. School leavers. The gigs are full of either school leavers or people who liked them and couldn't let it go. People go to the gigs and pine for live forever. That was their third single man. They've gone.
People saw through them. Fuck even Noel saw through them early enough. He even tries to write different tunes now to avoid the stereotype.

I must be a right idiot for liking this band then you mean!? To be fair, I wouldnt dream of paying 40 odd quid to see them now and stand half a mile away while they strum through dig out your soul and get supported by the enemy. Im not that keen on live forever anyway! I'd rather see them do I am the Walrus, one of oasis greatest songs...

definetly maybe is a brilliant album, i still listen to those songs sometimes. i wouldn't say they were lucky, they deserved the fame after that album, they just couldn't live up to it.

Oasis have got to the stage now, probably since when they toured don't believe the truth, were you can go and watch 'em once and then never bother going to a gig of theirs again. They are basically on the same level as the rolling stones.

Rich, they were your words, not mine. What I meant was that they haven't been great for a long, long time. They get too many tabloid inches for a band that aren't even a pale shadow of themselves, they don't even cast a shadow (TOPICAL PUNNERY).
They were once a big fish, now you don't even know what songs they're releasing. It's sad, but they made a rod for their own back.
If you look at their gigs, and I've been to a fair few, you see the audience I described up top.

I think that's an excellent summary of what Oasis have now become.
