Federer has looked like he has the edge since the second, but Roddick has been incredible. Given they're well into the fifth after 2hrs 50 mins, it shows how dominant the serve has been.

Cricket? Noone should play cricket. See if this place is polluted with a million threads about the ashes, I am taking a haiatus. Sack that.
Even the players don't know what the fuck is going on. They stand about scratching their arse for about ten minutes before anything happens, then when it does the ball just trickles along the ground a few yards. Repeat process. Give me rounders.

women should get the same- it's all relative...they train to the peak of their abilities and play to the peak of their abilities.....one sex shouldn't get penalised financially just because they are physically weaker...regardless of whether they provide less entertainment (quantity) or not

yeah women should get the same pay as men for doing the same work but if the men are working like 25-33% longer then this should be reflected in their pay.
regardless of the fact that the men are better and draw bigger crowds.

roddick did good.
He was so gutted at the end i felt bad for him.
Losing in 3 wimbleon finals against the same player must be frustrating.
That's that for another year...
Bring on the us open.
Women definatly should be payed the same.
The amount of travelling and training is the same as the men.
Plus most of the women have to retire early to have kids or not have any at all.
The only player to have a kid and carry on was Davenport and she was never the same afterwards.
Clijsters quit to have a kid now she's bored and coming back.
Can't wait.
If anyone can challange the williams sisters she can.

"Golf = 'Sport' that gets geriatrics and the dysfunctional out of their house. Who, let's face it, shouldn't actually be allowed out of their house.
Cricket = 'Sport' for toffs and unfit bloaters that can't be bothered running further than 20 yards."
I totally agree about cricket. An watching it is even worse it makes me literally fall asleep.
Although I woul like to learn how to play golf one day.
It's the closest thing to a sport i could do without getting knackered...
I love watching Football/Tennis/Boxing. I think 3 is enough anyway, I wouldnt have time to be in to any more...

federer has gold rolexes, private jets & monogrammed shit coming out of his ass. he could use billion dollar bills for toilet paper. he's too rich & too acclaimed & it's all so lame now. he got the french open because he wasn't up against nadal; he technically won today but not really since he only had 38 games to roddick's 39. he'd still be at 13 grand slams if he hadn't been so lucky during these past 2.

"he technically won today but not really since he only had 38 games to roddick's 39"
That's the lamest thing I've heard ever. He still pulled through and in the end outclassed Roddick. I'd say today Roddick was undeniably the more consistent player (Federer faffed up a few times), and I have the utmost respect for him, but Federer played better if that makes sense. It's hard to explain but when Federer got into his stride today he was brilliant.

I think it was telling in the last set when Federer was winning his serve in almost every game with ease, often to love or 15. Roddick's service games were often closer, especially once the set got to "sudden-death". Although Federer was never getting to break-point, he pushed Roddick to 30 or even duece quite often.

"he got the french open because he wasn't up against nadal"
It isn't really his fault Nadal got knocked out is it though? Also, he comfortably defeated the guy who defeated Nadal.
Also, the game is best of five sets. Number of games won is pretty irrelevant. You could hypothetically lose two sets 6-0 but win two 7-6 and one 8-6. That's just the way the game is, it is important that you win the games that really matter.
