I think the best sub of the day is Tuesday hands down.

Italian BMT is the best sub, it goes lovely toasted with chilli sauce also. Although don't get Subway as often anymore, the prices are a total rip-off in my opinion and would rather get a bacon butty for half the price in a cafe.

Toasted Italian BMT on herb and cheese bread with lettuce, olives, tomato, red onion, cheese, mustard and mayo. Everytime's a winner.

I just have lettuce with mine. (Cheese and toasted obviously) Hearty Italian.

I don't get why people have sauces - you wouldn';t in another sandwich, and I like my flavour to be derived from the main ingredient.

BMT on Herbs & cheese, cheese, toasted, lettuce, gerkins, jalapenos, cucmber, peppers, onion, sweetcorn (in some Subways), chilli and southwest sauce.

They are horrible, I was even more put off them by working next to one for a few years, the smell is awful after a while and the hygiene and behaviour of the staff left a lot to be desired.

I notice a trend in this thread. I do not know one girl who likes Subway.

They're not 'horible' though are they? Its just a bloody sarnie. Its one of the very few moderately healthy fast food chains and at a reasonable price.

Subway is gross. Quizno's are excellent, as are Jimmy John's. Domino's Pizza also does sandwiches now, but I haven't eaten one because generally I hate Domino's.

If I buy fast food then it tends to be from shops like pret or EAT where I can buy nice food rather than stodgy shit.

I've never heard of eat but it looks like the type of stuff people shop at Marks and Spencers would buy.

Pretentious over priced wanky food, whereas Subway is just, good honest food (at a high price) where you can have it your way.

I've had an EAT panini once in an airport while starving and waiting for a two hour delayed flight, I've had a subway once while stuck in a dead seaside town when nothing else was open and I was drunk and starving. I ate maccy d's as a kid (didn't we all) but can honestly say I probably have one every three or four years when legless..at the most.


these places are all shit holes, how can you go there every day when sober, why not make your own lunch?

I had the Thai butternut squash one earlier in the week.

I love soup and its a good way to get my veggies and I find it filling.

If you avoid the Chicken Laksa, they're not too bad but at the same time it doesn't warrant the damnation of low fat subways!

Calorie content? You have deliberately gone for the saturated fat thing there with the laksa as you can find nothing else wrong with them.

Subways taste like shit. Sorry but they do.

ive eaten subway a couple of times, was nice enough, dunno why so many people knock it, although they apparently contain an insane amount of salt

quiznos on the other hand is beautiful. i used to get lunch there almost every day when i worked at a tesco that was next to one, usually a classic italian or blt.
