Is BBC website not reporting Tom Petty because he's not actually dead? I read a tweet suggesting early reports were false and he's clinging on

Seems someone in the LAPD fucked up. He's recovering from a heart attack but very much alive.

Just realised I called Hefner as well.

Great news, hope he pulls through! It's surprised me how many people I know have been upset by this - maybe he's one of those people that everyone likes but doesn't talk about?

A brilliant, very honest piece on Sean Hughes.

I've known a few functioning alcoholics and the ability to compartmentalise is something I've never been able to fully understand.

Interesting read and I made it to the end but I'm not sure how helpful it is given the guys not even cold yet.

It seems a bit like a character assassination of his mate who is no longer here to defend himself.

George Young, one half of the Easybeats songwriting team. As well as all their great stuff, he and Harry Vanda wrote this big, emotional epic for the ex-Easybeats singer Stevie Wright in 1974
