I just goes to show ya...

I tried your SHELL DIR routine in my Windows 98 QB directory with the .ksg file in that directory and it found it just fine.

So what's the problem???

Ah, breath, breath, are you back with us again, OK send the paramedics home and read on... Just kidding about the Win 98. Tried if, of course, in my XP and YES, it works fine. No problems and I doubt that anyone else would report any, either. Where in the world did you here DIR does not work locally in XP?
