| - A friend of mine who lives in your town told me about this forum, after she listened to me complain about damages caused to my new vehicle.
I wanted to explore the sites of Sprucedale and that included the historic ones. Being an avid photographer I wanted to photograph the Pioneer Cemetery. I was given directions from a local guy (out walking his dog). He told me that the sign for the road was small and that I would probably mistake it for a personal drive-way. This brings me to my initial complaint to my friend. It is a drive way...... I had to squeeze past a large pickup truck that was parked nearly in the middle of the road, and I was forced to crowd the trees and scratched my new "PILOT".
So, my actual question is..... Is it a private drive or is it a municipal road???? I would like to know who to contact about the damages to my car.
Other than that I love the small town charm of Sprucedale.

Im sure the owner of the house probably isnt meant to block the roadway. I would imagine he would have been only too pleased to move it, had you asked.
I also imagine you will quickly learn the limitations of your new Pilot, so you don't scratch it anymore.
It seems quite obvious you should contact the municipal office for information, as your local friend wasn't very helpful. A forum board is no place for concrete information.
As far as who to contact for damages....mother nature. Perhaps your new Pilot isn't the Wilderness Conqueror you may have thought it was. Or maybe you've just broken it in ;)
Glad you love the small town charm of Sprucedale...it' a wonderful community.
