Okay so there is not suppose to be any parking on the main street and I don't believe that is going to change anytime soon. Had people just abided by the law which has been in place many, many years, and not parked on the corner perhaps none of this would have happened.

There has only been one accident at that intersection in all the years I've been alive. It occured while I was working at the restaurant (there was parking on both sides of the street in front of it too back then)in 1983. The driver coming up from Stisted St. North clipped a vehicle heading east on 518. The cause of the accident? The 518 bound driver was speeding and the driver on Stisted did not see him in time.

Please stop the bickering already 'cause what's done is done! I believe the "No Parking" on the corners was sufficent and the stats back it up.

I keep saying all we need is STOP LIGHTS. It would solve all.Maybe the ones like Huntsville that make sounds.
