Where was your golden lurcher this morning?

Do you own a golden tan lurcher? Do you know where it was at 11.00 am on the morning of Monday 7th April?

I can tell you where it was. IT WAS IN OUR GARDEN WITH ONE OF OUR CATS IN ITS JAWS, SHAKING IT LIKE A RAG DOLL.

Feebie is still alive - Just. However she is in the cat equivalent of intensive care at Easrgate Surgery. She has a punctured lung and broken ribs.

The police and the dog warden have been informed.

Any information about a local lurcher which is allowed to roam would be very welcome. It could be your cat, small dog, pet rabbit, even your child next.

Yes thanks Martyn, though it was touch and go for about two weeks and the vet's bill was enormous. She was poorly and traumatised for about three months so we had to cancel our annual holiday. The vet never found one of her broken ribs - it is inside her chest cavity somewhere, so that when she breathes a big dent appears in her side. The dog was traced. It is still living in Kirkby about 300 yards from our house.
