JEREMIAH BEST

I am related to the Best line you mentioned, through Jeremiah's sister Mary who married William Williamson. I have the following info on Jeremiah & Annie:-

Marr cert 27 Nov 1866 Kirkby Moorside:-
JB 25 bachelor labourer of KMS (son of Thomas Best, farmer) and AP 20 spinster of KMS (dau of Ralph Proud, labourer). Banns. Wits: Richardson Best & Esther Burton. Jeremiah made his mark, Ann signed.

Annie Best died 5 June 1925 at 15 Benson St, Linthorpe. Evening Gazette of Mon 8.6.25 says Annie dearly beloved wife of Jeremiah Best. Interment Tues June 9th at 3 o'clock at Middlesbrough Cemetery.

Jeremiah died 31 March 1928 at 15 Benson St. Interment Tues 3rd April at 3 o'clock Linthorpe Cemetery.

Will Calendar: for Jeremiah: Probate London 1.5.1928 granted to Wm Williamson (the Elder) farmer and John William Tanfield, blacksmith. Effects £1,085 18s 1d.
