hello i am a judson descendant (my mothers maiden name)
i have gone back to william judson baptised may 10th 1716 in keldholm he was buried july 4th 1776 he married martha sturdy 24th nov 1745 she was buried 6th july 1771

williams parents were called henry and dorothy judson nee brook they married 13th may 1715.
my mother and myself were born in tyneside but i am sure there will be some judsons or judson descendants still around in kirkbymoorside and surrounding areas

i also have a fascinating document namely my 6x great grandfather william judson's will from 1776.the descriptions of the things he left behind paint a great picture of what his life was like

i am also intrigued by the place name harome as my surname is haram and my fathers family were from york though i have also done extensive research on that name as well
nice site by the way i am going to have a look around a bit more
look forward to hearing from you
faihfully

Judson email from Janice Wood

August 8 2005, 9:26 PM

{snip}
Hamish Judson, from New Zealand, was passing through Hovingham on his road to Manchester. He knew that his ancestors lived in Hovingham and someone suggested he visit Nigel Judson, who farms at Coulton (originally in the parish of Hovingham), but he had not time to go there. He said that his father would be interested and may visit here in the near future.
His email address is hamish@websys.co.nz {end of snip]

This maybe of help to you this email I received from Janice Wood, a researcher from Hovingham. She was intouch with a Hamish Judson from New Zealand who was interested in his Judson roots.
