Hi guys..
I’m a Sri Lankan studying and living in Los Angeles... and I'm hoping on coming to London next summer to do a research project of contemporary forms of ethnic identity for South Asians such as us through music including those from South Asia, mainstream hip-hop and r& B and DJing and everything!! the whole jamboree!!
anyhow...in the states i don’t feel there is much of a strong south Asian vibe going on and i need your help!!
do you guys think that this project has much potential!! i mean is this even an issue?? do you gusy feel like you personally identify with Asian music scene?
im Sri Lankan so i dont know many Indians, Pakistani's and so on in London so i’m not really sure of this.. and I’ve never been to London. I feel like i pulled this idea out of my ass but there seems to be a big Asian music culture going on there~!!! But i’m really excited about it!
