Kelsey giggled cheerfully and led him over to a cotton candy stand. Selix watched from a distance as Randall bought her a cone of pink cotton candy with a flirtatious smile on his face all the while. He smiled a shook his head.
"Man, I've never seen him that way," he said, leading the kids to a nearby playground and casually lounging back on a bench. He patted a place next to him for Kace and Audrey to sit. "Go ahead and sit down."
"Thank you Randall," Kelsey said shyly, slowly walking down the park path with him. She grinned coyly and looked over at him. "You know, I never met a sweeter monster than you in my life. . ."
She stopped walking and carefully pulled a piece of her cotton candy off and put it in his mouth. "It's not fair for me to eat it all," she said, her white teeth showing in a gentle smile.
