Those who said the new stadium would not help attendance and that it would be poor--were WRONG! Over the weekend, one with bad weather until Sunday, the Lions drew 3000: 750 Friday (lousy weather), 1050 on Sat (not much better weather--cold), and 1200 on Sunday. Great games and some wins at least. Pitching good (not great for this series), hitting still needs work. Feel bad for Wyner, Sunday he was still struggling mightily. We needed that kid to be a real force in the B10 this year. Others now will have to pick it up. Whitehill/Stobart were OK again. Someone needs to step up from out of that bullpen and become the starter they need. Lorentson was OK on Sunday, gives up a lot of hits, no runs though. Where is the Carr kid?? Is he hurt? Hasn't given up a hit yet and still no sign of him. Has to be injured.

If they win, as I had stated earlier, they will draw even better. If they lose, attendance will fall off.

I will say this though, "The Med" is an unbelievable venue to watch a college baseball game!! I made 2 of the games and they were great fun and a great break from studying.

If you haven't gone yet--DO IT! You'll have some fun. The digital scoreboard and antics that they show and sound system are superb!!
