Well, you say we would be in the bottom half of the six in the tourney. That may very well be where we end up, but, realistically, we could be number two. I don't think we have the team to beat Michigan, but the others....It depends on if the bats get hot and stay hot. We will no doubt see good pitching, and as always, that slows down the bats. We did very well against Minn, in fact almost took 2 or three, and who knows what would have happened if we played the forth. Our pitching has been solid, although slim at the starting spot. If Gaff is ready, that will obviously help big time. The pen has been doing a stellar job, keeping us in games that last year we would have lost. Hawkins is good for a couple of innings, as is Ogrodnick. And so far, O'Neil has been lights out. Stobart has been questionable, but seems to keep his composure and has worked out of a lot of jams. I saw on another post, Karr for game 4. Not sure I would go there just yet, I still like my chances with Amato, but be ready to go to the pen quick if he gets into trouble.
But hot bats will give the starters some breathing room.
We really need 3 of 4 this weekend.
