Neutral Party

Everyone wants to do their "good parties" and their "evil parties" and their "tupperware parties", but nobody ever wants to split the difference and go for the all-Neutral party. For one thing, I don't think that there are five neutral NPCs that you can tote around with you for the whole game so you'll have to create a few to help you get started. The Neutral (with respect to Good/Evil and not Law/Chaos) NPCs are:

Anomen: Lawful Neutral
Haer'dalis: Chaotic Neutral
Jan: Chaotic Neutral
Jaheira: True Neutral
Cernd: True Neutral

If you count them up, that's a cleric, a bard, two partial fighters, a partial thief, a partial mage, and about a druid and a half. Of the fighters in the group, none of them are really the sort that you'd throw onto the front lines and expect to hold their own, and the two arcane casters (Haer'dalis and Jan) never really get all that powerful. To compensate for these lacking areas, Here's what I added:

PC: Chaotic Neutral human Sorceror (to cover the lack of pure casters)

and two NPCs: 1 lawful neutral elf Barbarian, and one true neutral halfling fighter/thief.

And have with them:

Haer'Dalis
Jan

and one of the clericky types, probably Anomen or Cernd for the single-class caster progression.

How do you guys see this working out?
