In vanilla SoA, the Skald is capable of mass distruction on a glorious scale.
Stay invisible and sing his special song while mobs of summons do his dirty work. He does not even need to carry weapons.
With the Bard's ability to hit higher levels then a mage, his summons shine brighter. Spider Spawn gets him wonderful pets. Along with Web and Skald Song, spiders become EVIL.
A buffed Earth Elemental will totally clean house. Or any Elemental for that matter.
Several hasted buffed Skeleton Warriors with Skald Song will RIP a new arsehole in ANYTHING.
All the while, your Skald is totally invisible, non detectable, and pretty much immune to any form of harm. I actually feel asleep during some fights, only to wake up and find out I was ok and Butterfingers only slightly annoyed at me wasting time.
On occasions when I felt like meleeing for a change, Crom Faer and Belm dual wielded made short work of most anything. Or I might pump something full of stinging eletrical arrows from Gasen.
Warning. Playing the game this way is boring. As there is absolutely NO challenge to be had.
