that you're not a big fan of Neverwinter Nights either? I think 3rd Edition D&D allows for some ridiculous power-gaming opportunities, but the versitility of the rules also gives role-players more options for developing a unique character. I for one will probably be buying IWD2, maybe not in September because I have so many other games I'm playing right now, but IWD2 looks impressive to me since I'm a big fan of the Infinity Engine graphics and 3rd Ed too.
