_Ouch._ Both to your teeth and your wallet. You have my sympathy. If memory serves it was about a week before I was really up to chewing much of anything, but I'd also had a bone graft done at the same time. It felt like I'd been punched in the jaw... repeatedly.
I don't know what you're trying to eat, (I pretty much lived on soup, pudding, applesauce, and jello) but as stupid as it sounds, you might want to look at grabbing some of those Slim Fast shakes. Yes, I know they're nasty (do not drink them warm), but most soft, squishy foods don't have a lot of protein, which you need to heal, and the shakes do.
But yeah, week, week-and-a-half, you should be chewing again. :P
