Your introduction is hardly classified as "relatively sane" by any stretch of the word. It was rambling and really had nothing to do with anything. You didn't introduce yourself. THerefore, it fails.

The people weren't adding their own interpretation to the text at the top. They were clarifying it.

You say that you mod and frequent various boards. You should know board etiquette. You don't come to a foreign board and do things like this.

The newbie problems aren't due to forum policy, or a lack thereof. We've had some newbies with decent intro posts who turned out to be tards and were chased off rather quickly. We've got a newbie problem because everyone and their mother thinks that they can join and get an avatar in the theatre. They come in looking like "Hey, I can MST and get in the theatre right now, right?" and then get irritated when we tell them, "No, we don't do that. Read the FAQ."

This isn't a large, fast moving board. We're very laid back and casual about most stuff. If you'd given us an introductory post beforehand, there probably wouldn't have been any problem at all.

I'm trying very hard not to come down on you like the wrath of God. You're a friend of Alair, and I like Alair, so I'm still giving you the benefit of the doubt. Please don't make me change my mind. Stop mincing words.

Cosmos also has a point with the suggestions thing. You've been here days. If someone came onto your board and started saying "Hey, you should change this to X!" how would you feel?
