So...having gone to see it at a special screening on Tuesday, I have concluded that it wa the best of the three in my opinion. Pellinor fields was awesome, as was pass of the Dead. Minas Tirith is simply breathtaking in how they filmed it. They also stayed pretty close to the books which, as a fan of Tolkien, I am grateful for. My one problem was all of the false starts on the ending there was. I counted around 5 times someone who hadn't read the books might have thought that it was going to end. All within a 10 minute time frame. It was pretty funny seeing people start to applaud, only to stop realizing it wasn't over. I was wondering what everyone else thought of it and what you would think about them doing a version of the Hobbit (which they're trying to get the rights to). |
