A little computer-related question, folks:

Lately, my dial-up modem has been dropping connections like crazy. For example, just to get here now and post took five or six attempts at dialing on before the connection finally kept. Is there anybody who might know what the heck's going on with my poor little modem?

I'm going to take some blind shots here.

- Your ISP is in a shitty state and the server is just dropping your connection because it can hardly handle it's own.

- ISP is getting overcrowded and is dropping people randomly to keep things fast. You're one of the people who keep getting to the party too late. ^^;

- Your modem sucks and you need to buy another one. Yeah.

- Your modem may be configured incorrectly, and something in there is just making the modem screw up.

- The Illuminati are messing with you for fun by transmitting their super secret fuck-up ray directly into your computer with their Extremely Expensive Space-a-ma-jig (tm), the ray obviously being set on 'un-modulate' mode.

That's all I can really think of...unfortunately, I probably don't know the solution to whatever the problem may be. For that, you'll have to turn to one of the most tech-headed folk around here.

Actually, it's fixed now.

I think. I guess the server was screwy. We have a new dial-up addy now, which seems to have worked.

Thank GOD.
