Hello! I am L. LSama, if you're more inclined to make me happy. I'm young, I'm smart, and for the most part, I'm your typically cute twenty-one year old nubile virgin. ::Hides from Thief. Ahem.:: I've been running around, reading this place for quite a while, even if I've never spoken up before. In my opinion, you're all doing a great, fantabalistically fantabulous job, and I have a question I'd like to pose. Would it be alright if I linked you guys on my webpage? Imagine it! Publicity..! No, really. ::Cough:: I suppose it's my way of showing my appreciation for how much you people make me laugh, frightening concept as that may be. But I suppose it would be the best idea to ask, before I go about slapping your link on my page. No need for lawsuits of any various sorts.
Anyway! I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd let me. Because I love you all! --No, really..!
Viper has a point. With changes underway, it might be good to wait a while before linking.
Plus, it might be a good idea to give people here a link to your website where you intend to place the link. Just so we know Quasispace isn't being linked from someplace...
I'd heard about the whole moving bit, but from what I've seen, no one appears to be using the new boards, so I figured I'd post it here. As far as a link as to where you will be linked to...err...::Confused herself, here...::..anyway.
Hm... You came for the black-haired blue-eyed bish?

You mean Robert Kelly?
THIEF: NO! NOOOO! NOOOOOOO! SHE DOESN'T!
ME: Okay, okay. [checks the Charguide] ...Maybe Cosmos?
THIEF: No, of course n- wait. Yes. Yes, that's exactly what she meant. Exactly. Pardon me, I think we may need some hand lotion, strawberry body butter, fur-lined handcuffs, etc, etc...
ME: Normally I'd complain here about Thief, but really, you shouldn't give him openings like that. Just keep those openings closed. Very, very closed.
THIEF: [snaps his fingers] Thanks for reminding me! I need to stop by Strapons-R-Us! [runs off]
ME: [sigh] I really can't believe there's three people who love that character, now...

I wonder if this stuff qualifies under the 'weird things' Alair uses?

Yes, well, Thief is such a likable character! I mean, he's the kind of guy that makes you just want to pinch his cheeks. ---Though which set I'm referring to is totally up for your personal preference.
Viking raging?.Does that mean you're h...andily pillaging European villages?
March 25 2004, 11:16 PM
Hell, most women I know only pillage the town once a month for a few days.
Course, this means you're always kidnapping women for your pleasure, and- [pause]
Cosmos! Quick! Hide!
THIEF: No, no, don't have to do that, it's safe... really. Safe as houses. Safe as houses that are about to star in my next movie. [turns his camcorder on]
I'm...mildly concerned about the fact that you're asking me to stay, after I've just suggested using one of the most extreme torture methods I can come up for a man.
Just because I passed along the link and said that she could witness tragic amatuer attempts at comedy... wait, that DOES make it my fault. My bad.
Also, I'm not sure that the stuff Thief does would scare them... I mean, except for that whole cannibalistic necrophilia thing. And the all-too-frequent axillist chrematistophilia.
THIEF: Like you could resist... I mean, that hair just feels like silk. Mmm. So nice against my-
ME: LALALA CAN'T HEAR YOU...
THIEF: Hey, great! Then you won't mind if I just go ahead and...
ME: AAAAHHHH! ...fuck. Somebody get me some salve and a bucket of moist toilettes.

And hey, I'm the one who invented the hammer-and-glass-rod thing!
As for the page not found: My server recently switched over to Linux and for some reason, the page isn't up and working. I've just recently gotten Rulihe up and going, honestly. I've informed the guy who runs the server about the link for Cannibal Corpse, Inc.(The RP webpage), and he's looking into it.
Now having said that, the RP page, even when up, is nowhere NEAR done. I mean, there's a LOT to put up, as I've been online RPing for close to seven years now. So as soon as I get it up, I'll be sure to inform you of the fact that..well, it's up.
If/When you get things moved(and if you're willing to let me link you guys), just email the new webpage and all.
What the deal is... Linux is POSIX compliant, which means all-of-a-sudden case matters. X.bmp, X.BMP, x.bmp, and x.BMP are now four different file names, whereas on a Windows platform, they're the same (one of the wonderful simplifications of the *nix kernel that Micro$oft implemented when the created Windows NT).
So basically, check that your file name and the file referenced in your HTML code have the same capitalizations.
As far as linking, feel free. It's http://www.quasispace.org as the primary site. I'm going to change the front page on the current server to redirect over there so I don't have to mess with the DotTK people. I also have http://www.quasispace.com parked there, so either one will work.
It would be great if that would be the simple solution to the problem. Unfortunately...that's not it. ::Grump.:: All of the files are utterly uniform when it comes to things like that. No dice there.
In the meantime, I've linked you guys, and yer lil button is all nice and purdy on the page..
L,
Who probably failed to mention she was from the south
I was born and raised in South Carolina, then moved down to Georgia for two years, which is where my mom and dad are from. And we're talking deep Georgia, about an hour from Florida.
I've seen Apache do weird things in the the past, but the only time I've seen the type pf problems you're describing were when dealing with POSIX compliance.
Got me on that one. When y'all get it figured out, let me know. I'd appreciate it, 'cause it may end up being helpful for me in the future.
Okay, there appears to be some technical difficulties with my mail server right now. I checked my email a few minutes ago, and while I did have spam, I didn't get your message. Undaunted, I attempted to email you, but now my email client has been churning away on the 'sending message' screen for about five minutes, and I don't think it's getting through. Why don't you email me at my work address? reyno061_at_umn.edu
A 21-year old New England girl who enjoys heavy metal and industrial music, free RO and beer, and can probably quote the intro to Symphony of the Night at the drop of a hat (or use of the word "tribute," whichever comes first).
Matter of fact, it's heading a healthy distance into Awesome McRadical territory. I was just trying to figure out why a month after the fact God decided to make another me, only female.
Re: It's as far from "e;bad"e; as you can get, actually.
March 25 2004, 7:54 PM
Awesome McRadical territory, eh?
But..yea, that's pretty much me. ("What is a human, anyway? A miserable little pile of secrets!" *tosses a wineglass!*)
God, it's sad that I know that without looking. I'm such a loser.
Oh! And let us not forget my love of lan parties(Counter-Strike, bebe!), Bawls, Onimusha(Samanosuke, SamaSamanosuke, Samanosuke, King of Feudal Japan!), and a good game of emulated Chrono Trigger. ---and don't tell anyone, but I love staring at Kain, from Legacy of Kain's, ass. =/ I'm such a bad girl.
There's nothing wrong with knowing it. Once you get to the point where people can't say "tribute" around you without you accusing them of stealing men's souls, though, then you've got a problem.
On the other hand, I don't hear the word tribute much. Right now, my dreams are haunted by little girls saying, "kill me.", this really odd looking misty guy with ropes tied all over him, and this reeeeeally big serpent demon named after a Shakespearian character.
