Hi pals, howdy?

I would like to pass on to you a reply I got from a biochemist of Solgar about my question "would glucosamine sulfate promote other height increasing suplements' effectiveness?"

She said that, a girl's puberty ends generally at around 17-18 and a boy's around 20-21s so my 21 is kinda at the end limits of growth. But she added that growth after puberty is possible but this extra capacity should be related, as far as science has reached today, to genetic factors.

She said that theoretically, glucosamine sulfate (GS 1000 mg) can be beneficial for increasing height after puberty and must be accompanied indispensably by Zinc Picolinate (of Solgar again of course, he he.. ) and both should be taken for a trial period of 5 to 6 months to see if they work or not.

So, the general conclusion is positive and you might give a try to these products -of course, you are not obliged to buy from Solgar..- to see if you have a chance.

IMO, you may even try -like I will do- Solgar's Glucosamine Chondroitin (1500 mg GS + 1200 mg Glucosamine Chondroitin + 300 mg Calcium) or Puritan Pride's Joint Soother which has approx. the same contents with it at half the price (he he..) (1500 mg GS + 1200 mg Glucosamine Chondroitin + 500 mg MSM a cartilage regenerative substance) for better chances.

I have sent another mail about the above supplements and am gonna pass on their replies to you tomorrow.

Friends Glucosamine Sulfate is recognised by world-scale pharmaceuticale companies as a substance possible to aid in height increase so if there are any super-sceptic scammers, keep your negative opinions four yourselves.

Looking at the latest threads which are now the Top 5 on our most reads list ) , I think we may already begin to think a bit more positively about height increase possibilities after puberty and stop repeating the "are your growth plates fused or not?" cliché. Actually, everybody doesn't know the answer and have the chance of getting that x-ray test done for height increase in every country as in USA.

We have many specialists and friends who verify and even experience the possibility of growth after puberty and show us the way.

It's time to be optimistic and get some dopings and go exercise.

Im 17 I got an x ray in the hand and it showed I had fused plates.

Im taking Glucosamine chondroitin complex plus MSM from Osteo Bi-Flex. It says it helps renew cartilage and lubricate joints for joint comfort.I take 4 caplets each day, I started taking them 3 days ago.

each caplet contains..

glucosamine HCI - 1,500 mg (1.5g)

choindroiton sulfate - 1,200 mg (1.2g)

Methylsulfonylmethane(MSM) - 1,000 mg (1g)

---------

I am also taking Calcium Citrate with vitamin D from spring valley. it says contains soy. I take one tablet each day. I started taking these today.

It contains % daily value

Vitamin D - 200 I.U - 50%

Calcium - 315 mg - 32%

----

Im also taking centrum

questions

Glucosamine chondroitin complex plus MSM from Osteo Bi-Flex, is it different from solgars?

Glucosamine chondroitin complex plus MSM from Osteo Bi-Flex helps renew cartilage for old people, that means we still have active cartilage in the bone which means if we spike up our IGF-1 levels we will build more cartilage and lead to height increase, is this right?

Hi.

In fact, in my opinion, this glucosamine should be able to renew cartilage at any age because that's its function. But as I couldn't get a more detailed info on this dead point from Solgar, I don't want to speculate about this.

What I know is that scientists tell glucosamine helps assisting bone growth by regenerating the cartilages and the younger you are the luckier you are too.

Yeah, your product is just a bit different, still better. It contains 300 mg less chondroitin than Solgar's but 1000 mg of MSM against 300 mg of calcium -which you already take from the other supplement- which is a better deal I suppose.

I was told by renewal HGH's president that I should use "Growth Hormone Releasers" to make me grow so you might want to add to these two supplements a third amino combination from a good pharmaceutical company (Montiff i.e.) that contains arginine and ornithine and use the three with your exo routine.

I'm sure at 17 you would grow some with these stuffs.

Sorry I thought MSM and gluco were in the same product. But all in all, this combo is a better deal than Solgar's anyway.

Waiting for Good News...

February 4 2006, 5:19 PM

I feel quite the same with you about Alfalfa because I'm afraid too of acromegaly.

Still what Mifune guy's said about his growth, remember when he first grew 1 inch in 1 month without these symptoms and then after 3 months another 0.5 inches but bigger hands etc..

I think that the results of the first phase of his growth are very very good but the continued use of the product RIGHT AFTER SUCH A BIG GROWTH EXPERIENCE leads to acromegaly as body gets used to it and maybe the effects of Alfalfa become overefficient in the following 2 months.

So I've concluded that maybe Alfalfa should be taken at this dosage (20 to 25) until you get this powerful increase, and be stopped right after to avoid the acromegalyc effects. And maybe restarted after a few months again?

Anyway, I'm gonna report you of my results as I have now a stock of 11 boxes of Alfalfa.

I hope you success with your work. Please keep us update OK?

Is it possible for me to grow taller with Glucosamine ? I am 16 years old ( male ) so my growth plates are probably not fused. I tried l-arginine and l-ornithine (average doses) but it didn't work..

At 16, your growth plates on the legs are likely to be fused already. However, certain growth centers like on your hips may not have fused yet, but will fuse by age 18 or so. I think there may be other growth centers.

Please take

Arginine pyroglutamate ( NOT ARGNINIE HYDROCHLORIDE )
L-Lysine

This has been proven in clinical study to raise GH level by 500 percent. It was an old study.

I can vouch for its effectiveness. I developed signs of agromegaly because I took it at 16. At 16, most of my growth plate has fused. As a result, I stopped using it once I noticed my face proportion changed. I grew 1-2cm during the period I took it. It is probably the last growth I'm going to see.

It is a long proccess. It starts around age of 14 and finishes when you are 18-19 yo.... And I asked about glucosamine... Is it possible to increase gh levels and gain height ?
