This seems to be as good a place as any to post this. New research by Matt_G at CivFanatics revealed that the shield from bonus grassland is not
lost when founding a city on it. Matt_G explains it well here, and also covers how the Industrious bonus fits in.
Basically, you do miss out on the bonus when your city is size 6 or below, but you effectively get it back when the city reaches size 7. If I'd known that when I started the game, I would've founded right on the starting square, and I bet several other players also would've.
As another general comment, the early Golden Age in this game really wasn't all that wasted. The capital had lots of terrain that produced one shield per tile; the GA gave a decent boost to that and provided several extra early javelins.
Anyways, as for your game, it looks much like several of the others. Poor Dutch, ground under everyone's heels and enslaved. ("Wait till you read my report."
) It looks like you built the cities with a very good eye for the future, and built them into economic producers really well, getting to space 20 turns faster than Speaker's launch.
BTW, what's with the animated .gif on the last page? Confusing
