Luck should be a part of game, don’t u think (Even if it makes two games incomparable)? If everything becomes strategy and game play, some players would never lose a game. What is the point in playing a game, when u r always winning.

How many scientific leaders will a civ get in a particular game? Perhaps one for all civ’s. That means one great wonder (may be two, if the AI or the player get very lucky) for that particular civ. I would say that brings a little variety and a new taste to the game.

If a game is 100% perfect, then there won't be any room left for development. When that happens, the game gets boring after playing a couple dozen games. U said u was waiting for the past six months for the game to be fixed. I think, that’s exactly what the Firaxis wanted, keeping anxiety in their customers about the new development. when they release a new improved version this anxiety will buy it.

Give it a thought; my thinking may not be perfect (worse not even applicable)

I am writing this because I visited your sirian great library 50 (many many) times in hopes of finding your report. When you become a admirer for many people like me, we except a lot from you. This is synonymous to your expectations of civ, I guess they didn’t stand up to your expectations.

  Tourney Mission Statement:
Existing Civ III tournaments, contests and group events are universally plagued by elements or shortcomings that lead often to compartmentalized results. Spoilers and privileged info is readily made available while games are still in progress. The game itself remains in flux through a patching process. The scoring system measures only a few elements of the gameplay. We at Realms Beyond are not satisfied to settle for these conditions and compromises.

The Realms Beyond is home to gamers who go beyond the norm, who creatively add depth to good games to make them better, who choose to set our own added limits to gameplay for the purpose of increasing challenge, varying gameplay flavor, and getting more out of the games we love. We discard the usual standards and venture into realms beyond, where we share our passion for gaming with one another, and with those who are like-minded.

We develop and refine our tournament as we go, with the help of the players. Each game is subject to rules, but we keep the framework light, the emphasis on excellence, the focus on the spirit of the game. Come and play. Share, compare, teach, and learn.
