whats up.....thank you for the positive feedback. its always good when an "underground artist" like myself gets to hear the opinions of normal people. anyway, my name is "Naaman", and i know coomon rotation through my day job (my friend is roommates with Adam Busch). I plan to have some product available by late August, which will be a sort of a neo-soul/hip-hop blend (i plan to have Adam and Eric on at least 1 track.) hope you pick it up when its available. well, thnx again for the props...and stay listening to "common rotation".....FUNKY WHITE BOYZ!!!!!!!! much luv, fellow sapiens. peace.

i love the improvised versions of the live songs!

each live song has a little something special about it that causes me to revisit them again and again. especially the two versions of "Savior" off of the site right now.

i think it shows Common Ro's versatility, not to mention the measure of their fans, when a song can switch up from one style to another so smoothly and not turn people away. it just keeps drawing them in! lol - rule the world is right

Naaman - i love your part in "Savior" and i will definitely be looking for your release when you get it out there. good luck with everything you are working on!

Naaman:
You're up early! Work, or are you an early riser?
That aside, thanks for responding; I've enjoyed watching you live but it's only been listening to the two "Savior" versions online that I've been able to listen without distraction. (Visual distractions for me anyday, of course - live is much... livelier.) I've now got your name under your picture and will definitely keep an eye out for anything you put out.
Glad you hooked up with Common Rotation, and looking forward to more collaborations - and solos!

Ronia (sorry for the morning free-flow format):
This is precisely why I'm so frustrated when people ask me what type of music they play... I always wonder, which aspect do you want described, and why should I stick them in that tiny box when they only live there a small portion of the time? Their versatility is part of what defines them as the musical maestroes they are, and I'm pleased to report I've rounded up some friends to see what I'm talking about for tonight's show. Some unfortunately had legitimate reasons to miss (weddings and the like, so they can't be faulted) but anyone else who doesn't show is going to get a hearty up-close-and-personal taste of my kung fu skills (which are actually karate/judo skills, but that sounds much less cool).

Deb,

I just say, you gotta hear them for yourself and direct them to the website. See ya tonite sweetie. Look for the girl in the vinyl *g*

Oh and Naaman, you rock! I saw you at one of the shows I reckon. I love when you improvise on Savior.

Ronia, I love the live versions. I always say Oklahoma is much better live than on the CD, although the CD version kics much ass indeed. But to really enjoy this song, ya gotta see it live. Will I see you tonite?

*bounce* only a matter of hours now!

NO! you will not see me!

July 13 2002, 10:08 PM

and it is not fair

there are so many shows out west right now and i can't come!

of course, most of that is due to $ scenarios, but that is all tied up in the fact that Common Ro will be in Chicago for our August thing btw, have i mentioned that Common Ro is gonna be in Chicago and you all should come!!

i am trying to work out a trip for the two sets on the 24th, but ... hard to say. for some strange reason, my work wants to launch our web site in August and doesn't want us to take any vacation that month, grrr

sigh sometimes i wish more Buffy freaks lived around here so i could spread more Common Ro love ... my officemate no doubt(!) gets sick of me ranting and raving about Buffy, Angel, Common Ro, Ghost of the Robot, etc, etc. i did manage to convert one co-worker though, and he has been borrowing all of my episodes up to season 5 now, lol.

anyway ... enough rambling from me. enjoy the show!
