Ok so they are opening for They Might Be Giants on the 27th now, and Matt says its cancelled. But then it is still a posibility now?? I hope so, that would be cool, but how? If anyone finds out any info about the Highland Grounds show and if it is happening, please lat me know

:D For purely selfish reasons (lol ) I wouldn't mind if the show at Highland Grounds was postponed till oh...let's say Sunday August 25th (the day after CityWalk). This is because I probably can't make it to L.A. if it is still going to be on July 27th but I will definately be coming for the CityWalk show. :p

my work pretty much gives me time off whenever I want it. But I woudn't have a place to stay if it were on a weekday. So the 25th would be best for me still. That sucks that you can't just get early shifts or something. :P

I'd really like that show to stay exactly where it is. My visiting friend has just as no money as I do ("little" doesn't even suffice) and we've both been looking forward to the Highland Grounds gig. If the guys do have to move it because of transportation issues/the earlier gig, that's perfectly verstandlich - but I'm crossing my fingers and hoping we get to see one Common Rotation show before she leaves. THIS is why I'm encouraging everyone else to go see them open for They Might Be Giants. Since I can't make it, I'd like my friends in Oregon and Washington to go and give me the run-down (after having one unbelievable helluva time .

I'm an entry level CM. Bottom rung of the ladder. They give us night shifts. It's just the way it goes. Plus it's summer, a Saturday, crowded park. Getting an earlier shift is near impossible. I got lucky last weekend. I'm just hoping for the same luck next weekend.

My job isn't like anyone else's. I can't just get time off when I want it, or earlier shifts or call in late, sick, etc. It's a helluva lot harder.

But I love my job. I just have to deal with not seeing CR as much as I used to. Sucks, but eh, whatcha gonna do?

And Briel you could always stay with me
