Common Ro's a Gift

There is a point, I promise!

This morning, I suddenly decided to visit the stable where I used to board my elderly horse, Buffy (No! Not after the show! I've had her longer than the show's been on!). Buffy and I left that dilapidated stable because our riding group had been unwillingly transplanted there, and our friendly community was falling apart. I thought I would visit today with carrots to raise the spirits of the tired old school horses.
When I arrived, there had just been a horrible car accident. One ranch dog was dead, and the other was injured. I'm more of a cat person, but these are dogs that stayed near me whenever I was at the stable alone. Dogs that kept watch over all the horses--including mine.
After doing what I could to help, and finally giving the horses each a carrot, and running over to the new stable to give my horsie a hug, I came home, still stunned.
And listened to my Common Rotation CD. I listened to the more melancholy songs, especially "Burgandy." Their earnest music and voices sounded more soothing than ever. So if any of you guys ever see this message, know that I really, really appreciate your music.

Love,
J.K. and Buffy

See, I told you there was a point.

You ride!

So do I! At least I used to up until Dec 2001. I just didn't have enough money and no time to earn credits for lessons what with school and work and just life. I miss it soooooo much. Especially the two horses I used to ride, Bear and Chamois. I literally can't even think about them or the tears begin to flow. I rode from when I was 13 to 22.5...that's a long time to go and then just stop. It really sucks.

Anyways I just had to respond. I'm sorry about the dogs. Poor things. Isn't it great to have music that you can listen to at all times and just by one great band?

You guys rock!
