Danielle--to answer your question, I kinda dig Eric's looks myself, although the entire band is composed of cuties and awesome personalities:)

Like she said she was just wondering and anyone who says they aren't at least partial to one member or another of the band is probably not telling the whole truth. Maybe she didn't phrase the question well but it's no need to get snotty. We are all fans because of the music or else we wouldn't keep coming to all the shows and showing our support for the music.

To answer the question, It's probably no secret that I myself am partial to Eric. I do think that Adam is super cool though and Mike and the Professor are great as well.

I love the whole band because of their music. I was just wondering how people would respond to this question. I just see CR as a set. dramatic voice A cohesive unit forged together by the grace of god... greater than the sum of its parts and all that jazz. I like the way they play off each other, very cute.

As far as singing goes.. I would have to say.. um.. er... I can't choose. I'm very non-commital this week I guess.

And on the topic of voices, I would like to see Adam do a voiceover for Invader Zim. That really has no baring on anything, and is not relevant in the least... just a thought I had while trying to sleep last night.

Invader Zim! LOL. I had a few friends who were obsessed with that show but I never knew what they were talking about. That is, until another group of friends sat me down in front of their Tivo and showed me 2 episodes. (Its a cartoon on Nickelodian for anyone else who didn't know). Think of Ren and Stimpy but about an alien who goes to school on earth. Okay, Vixen don't kill me for that analogy, it's a bad one.

As for answering the question....ugh this is hard. So we're only talking about the singers? Cuz I love Adam for who he is and I love his voice. But Eric's voice can utterly make a person melt. But I do love Ken, esp that night at 14 when he got up from his kit and decided he needed a little time in the spotlight. And Mike's great. He sure knows how to party

I like Eric Clapton better than Adam Ant. An unpopular opinion, I know, but one I've just got to put out there.

Adam is my fav, although I love Eric's lyrics in "Burgandy." I love Adam's voice--it is so unique. But what I love most about this band is that they're not just pretty faces (which they have ^_^). They all write music and lyrics and play instruments. Let's see the current hit pop boy bands do that! (By the way, have you ever seen Backstreet Boys fans and Nsync fans battle? It's hilarious!) Our boys are talented. There is however, something intensely pleasing in the way Adam looks.

Anyways Danielle, considering I run ABC and am "Adam's Biggest Fan" I reckon you already know who I love And yeah I enjoy Adam's voice more too. Eric's cute to look at and he's a great singer and wails on that guitar but we know where my heart belongs *g* Also I think it's something bout the harmonica playing that draws me in I also totally dig Mike's guitar licks and the Professor's drumming cuz well hey I dig drummers So I love Common Ro as a whole, I don't think they'd work if one were missing (well yes they do do performances without each other sometimes but I reckon it's best when they're on as a unit cuz they just work together so well!)

Without a doubt; Eric. I mean come on ... He's the cuter, deeper, more talented one. Seriously. He writes pretty much everything we hear, he plays perfectly, he's got a beautiful smile and hes much better looking. Adam is a show man. He just jumps up and down on stage, tries to sing on pitch and makes a lot of very odd faces (what is up with the faces anyway?).

Eric is literally gifted. Without Eric, there is no common rotation. Its just yet another TV actor who wants to "act" like a musician. Sorry. I know this is gonna piss a lot of people off, but I really think its true. I feel like a lot of the fans are more into Adam, sadly, because he was on Buffy, not because he's a talented artist.


As an artist Eric can stand alone, Adam; no way. If everyone is as "into the music" as they claim to be; then you have to own up to what makes it great. Therefore you have to be partial to Eric, because without him there is no band!!!

Eric rocks. By the way, He's also a much more sincere person, who seemingly requires much less attention

Somebody woke up on the hostile side of the bed this morning, eh? Well, I wasn't gonna post on this thread, but...Who cares, right? Like, I'm just glad that I get the opportunity to see and hear the band as often as I do. They make a great team.

I know that alot of CR fans have a preference - I'm just not one of 'em. But hooray for all of you that do.

I shouldn't even respond cuz you are anon but I will cuz I want this to be known...

I like Adam cuz he is Adam. Not cuz he was on Buffy. I at first didn't even like his character until after I met him and took a second look at the character and fell in love with the way he was protrayed. But when I see CR, I see Adam, not Warren. When I ask people if they know who the band is, yes I ask them if they watch the show cuz it is the easiest way to explain it. If not then I go more into the band's background. But to say that most of the CR fans are all over Adam cuz he's on the show, then you are sorely mistaken. He has an amazing voice and plays a mean harmonica. Nuff said. Now, I think Adam is just as talented as Eric and together they make a great team. I reckon you need all 4 of these guys to make up Common Rotation, 5 when you include Rick at NY gigs. You take anyone away and that band just isn't the same. You have most of Eric's soulful words and gorgeous guitar playing, you have Adam's beautiful voice and the duo's riffing off each other, mixed in with the Professor's fabulous banging on the bongo and drums and Mike's flying bass thrown in.

This band is nothing without each other. They all make a wonderful team.

TB- you said it girl! I agree 110% I love the band because they are great. Each and everyone of them. I have spoken to everyone in the band, got the unexpected chance, as you did, to hang out with a few of them as well. I had no real opinion of the Warren character back when I met Adam because to me he was another small character who wouldn't stay long but because of talking with him I paid more attention to his character. I am/was more interested in his music then his acting status. Yes he is a talented actor, that goes with out saying but he is an amazing talent in everything I have seen him do. Acting, singing, playing off the audience as well as his band mates. I have not had the chance to hear him with his harmonica but Im positive he does a hell of a job playing it. Adam knows what he is doing and does it better then many people could dream of doing.

I'm not "attracted" to anyone in the band, Hey Im married I have my man, but there is absolutely no reason for someone to bash one band member because in their eyes that member is not as "cute" as another. Tastes vary. I like my men big and teddy bear like. Im not big on muscles or typical boyish looks. In high school I remember getting razzed for not going out with Mr Popularity with his jock status and movie star looks and I instead dated the guy with the long hair, motorcycle jacket, playing MegaDeath in his car and he was a little overweight. So for someone to say "so n so isn't good looking" is ridiculous because not everyone likes the same type of "look" as far as bashing talent thats just wrong. If they weren't all as equally talented they wouldn't be as great as they are. Adam and Eric are the perfect team. Mike and Ken bring everything together. They can all stand alone, but are better together because that is what they are...together. They are all Common Rotation. No single member makes the band any better then they already are.

I totally agree with u guys! They are all completely amazing musicians, talented alone but incredibly so as a band. And So many people criticize/stereotype anyone who has either heard about the band because of Adam's Buffy role or who is partial to Adam, but they are so wrong! Yes, people may enjoy seeing Adam on a kick ass show like Buffy (sorry, Im obseesed lol) every week, but that is just one of the many reasons we love him! hes a great singer, musician, and song writer (What We Have Now rocks!) and is very captivating and entertaining on stage. And the other guys are really great too, they are all really cool people, and Im grateful to get to see any one of them play, not just Adam, because he happens to be on a show i love...So yeah i think Ill stop reiterating now lol...just wanted to say that TB and Tamz make very good points...
