Hi all! I just got a voice mail from my friend Pearl who told me that she was listening to Common Ro on KROQ (106.7 in LA)! I can't get a hold of her to ask what song or any details, but I thought I'd share this info. And I was just wondering how we could get some airtime for the band...

that's cool! i think in order to get a station near you to play them, you have to send them a cd of songs to the music supervisor. according to a station here, i am supposed to send it to a particular person, he will listen and review it, if he likes it, he will put it on at night during one of those "battle of the songs" type things, and if it does well, then it will go into the main rotation.

maybe we could post the mailing info for the stations we think are Common Ro friendly here so that Matt or another "official" CR person can send in their press packets??

i'm not going to give up my cd, lol, and i am not sure how receptive the station would be to a burned mp3 cd. don't want them to think i am a big napster thief or something.

I've been waiting on the new CD to start pushing my own personal brand of crack on all the radio DJs at my two-bit local stations... very cool news about KROQ, though. They hit the big-time while I wasn't looking. Would love to hear details when you've got them.

Otter, I was thinking the same thing re: the new cd. Thought I'd feed it to the local DJ's once we had it in hand...not that I don't want them to play 28 OS, I'd just like it to be their fresh cuts, ya know? All promoter-like. That's cool about KROQ...
