Fay Ray? Woops, who put Rocky Horror in here?

Okay, anyway...whatever happened to the song "One Step Up?" The guys used to play that...and I realized I haven't heard it live in a long time. At least I don't think I have.

Oh and whoever was talking about LI gigs...yeah, dammit! Word. Us islanders, gawd help us, need the lovin back home. Then again, don't we all need some lovin back home? Again with the therapy!

Like Vix, I really should write these posts when I'm much more rested.

They played "One Step Up" at 14 Below in May. Which was cool because I'd been listening to the MP3 from here on the site (which, for some reason, on my old work machine I'd get like ten seconds then it'd cut off) and wishing I could hear the whole song. There's even an MP3 from 14B, though you have to be a clever SOB like me to find it, because it's not actually linked from anywhere. (You can also get "Did A Verse End?," "Sit Down," and "Hey Lena," but you didn't hear that from me.)

But, I want to thank you for reminding me to be a little devious myself and dig around. hehe

I love working with computers sometimes you know? There's so much I don't know how to do, but the things I do know ....

And, I am working on the video from Chicago now. Had to get me a firewire cable. Was up too late fiddling around on Premiere and some other programs trying to import, change the lighting, cut it down, etc. etc. What can I say, I am a perfectionist and, well, what I am starting with isn't fantastic, so it may still be a while before I release it.

I wonder if all this Long Island talk will amount to anything...

I wanna go back to the Backstreet Blues venue someday. Or someplace new. How about Southpaw? Its in Brooklyn, but with all the candles they have burning it's a pyromaniacs dream. Or The Spot in Stony Brook. The Downtown? Or college shows.. like Dowling college maybe. Okay, okay, that's pushing it.

Sara - I saw your message title and I started singing Meatloaf's song from RHPS: "Whatever happen to saturday night, when you dressed up and you felt so right.." Eek, don't get me started on that movie, I've gone to too many of the live shows and it has since corrupted me. throws toast at Sara

Otter - They have all sort of neat hidden stuff on the 14 Below site, if you know where to look.

OMG you guys have no idea what you've started. Love that movie. How many times have you seen it live BTW? Passes a hot dog around

Well I'm just gonna throw cards at both of ya. I have never seen the show live, and it pains me!! I love the movie and music, tho I'm admittedly not a hardcore fan or anything. And a stupid ex-bf was supposed to take me years ago, but oh well that never happened. Cry me a river. Wah.

Vixen - where in Suffolk were you living before?

I still want CR to cover Time Warp... like that would ever happen.

But it would kick ass.

I’ve seen the show at the movie theaters about 4 times, and once as a play at CW Post College, once as a play at Theater Three in Port Jeff, and 2 or 3 times at I-con (this huge convention at Stony Brook college) with the Broadway Cast doing a live stage show as the movie played in the background on a movie screen.

The best one I think was last year at I-con. Before the show this really cute guy who played Riff Raff in the Broadway Cast was hosting some games. There was a costume contest where everyone had to come up, say what they were dressed as, and get applause to try to win. So I went up without a costume on, and when Riff Raff got to me I turned to him and said, “Oh sweetie, I don’t have a costume on, I just wanted to come up to the stage and grope you.” LOL… I got a lot of applause for that… and Riff Raff said to see him after the show... but I never did. The I-con shows are always the best. There’s this whole exhibitionist vibe there. hee

Like I said, it has corrupted me.

Sara – I used to live in Lake Ronkonkoma, right off Portion Rd.
