While it is very much a sad thing for the Southern California Common Rotation contingent that the band is going to be somewhere other than on So. Cal. stages for awhile (yes, of course, it's good that other people get to see the band live without having to leap on planes and it's fantastic that there will be a new album forthcoming from their N.Y. stay , but still, there's nothing like Common Ro in live concert that's actually in driving distance!) here's a live music recommendation in the meantime for a band that's been on the same bill with Common Ro a couple of times this year (the PBP and 14 Below) ... Four Star Mary is going to be at the Gig in West Hollywood Saturday Sept. 21. If you haven't encountered them at all, they have a kind of U2 sound and (in my humble opinion) they're really good.

Damnit my friends band White Eagle is playing at the Shack in Huntington Beach that nite too and on top of that I have a 4-12:00 midnite shift! Arrrgh! I can't go to either. Give the boys my love though.

And yes anyone who can go see FSM, they kick ass and they're super nice
