Apparently the owners of this house had been seeing images and hearing voices for quite a while. They did some research and found that a lady once lived in the house who lost her husband during the civil war.
Legend says that she used to sit at the table and look across the fields in anticipation of her loved one returning home. He never came.
So, they say she still waits. They caught this photo of what they claim to be her. This one was wild and a little spooky once you find the ghost in the picture. It took me a few seconds to find it, but when you do, it just stands out. Like
one of those optical illusions. To save you some time, concentrate around the table . Best not to focus too much on one spot. Look around the table and toward the window. The main thing is not to give up--you will see it!
Click on the link below for the picture. Best to enlarge. For an added touch turn up the volume, it's faint but you can hear the ghost talking sometimes in a low murmur.

Holy heart attack, batman! I managed to turn the volume up RIGHT when the "ghost" appears. Jesus christ, LOL.

Oh I've seen that before. I got that forwarded to my email a couple times. Once was that room one and the second was "where's Waldo" picture. Funny though.
chuckles Seen this one before too. But then, online, I think there is little most peeps haven't had emailed to them by SOMEONE.
Halloween is fun! It's practically the only time of the year when we can dress up as whatnot and go around outside as if it's a 'normal' thing. How cool is that?

Tavern Wench -
Flick my ear will ya. You wanna take this outside? Huh? Let's go. Bring it on..
er..
I am SO innocent. Well. Actually. Now that I think about it...
We're way off the Halloween topic. Ooh.. here's a topic. Dim Sum... prolly spelled it wrong. My office wants that for lunch. Gaggggggggggg... the one and only time I joined my office at the Chinese restaurant for that I nearly lost the empty contents of my stomach. All I can say is that even if I weren't vegetarian... there is something WAY wrong with having chicken feet served.... and no matter how many times my co-workers try to convince me... Chicken feet are NOT good for you!
Okay, so that was off topic. Sorda. I mean, chicken feet ARE scary. And Halloween is scary. So... I'm stretching, okay?

Halloween Thread

HG1- Thank you for the hug! Needed badly- not having a very good week.
HG2- We've never really staied on topic on any other thread, so why should this one be any different?! But that's cool too. I love 'em to death and all, but subjects on Common Ro can only go so far before we piss each other off too much (i.e.- Adam's "smoking habits") or say the exact same things over and over and over and over and over and ........................
(I think we all get the idea)

See, that didn't scare me.. Plus I almost always have an mp3 running, so volume on a specific website doesn't matter a bit.
Nahh.. what's REALLY scary is the Troll from Ernest: Scared Stupid. Well, it's scary if you're watching it with Arky and he suddenly goes "WAHH!" and slaps his arms on you're legs and you jump and swat at him for scaring you.
Ooh, speaking of trolls... I am still traumatised by a movie we watched in gradeschool on trolls .. or were they goblins? I don't remember. There was this one though.. that would sneak into an unsuspecting child's room and if the kid's hand was not covered the troll thingie would squeese the hand and possess it or something. Though, I also vaguely recall that the 'possessed' child's hands were capable of suddenly playing classical piano in the next scene. Sooo.. I'm not sure why this scared me so much. We still sleep with our hands covered to this day. hehehe
~Groupie, sharing things you never even cared about
Your screaming woman pictures didn't spook you so much that you checked for a virus on your comp and found it. I did that last year in Oz after dling off the network and getting this all black screen and a screaming woman three times at 5 in the morning. I was so freaked out so I virus scanned and found one. They may not have been related but it sure scared the shit outta me.
And trolls, ugh evil!

L Good you did the virus checks. Those things are nasty. I just wish I knew how to write the code to make my own. Now that would be cool.

Yknow Hacker, I think the movie you're talking about was simply called "Troll." If it's the same one I'm thinking of, then I think the troll guy was like living in this apartment complex or something, and I just vividly remember a part where the basement or someone's room got all jungle-like and it made me scared to go into my basement.
Sara - I don't recall that scene. All I know is that the thing was apparently 'age appropriate' since I did see that in gradeschool. And it frightened me. Hehe. Would be funny if we're talking of the same thing though.. 'cause then it would be obvious I wasn't the only one totally traumatised by that flick.

Trolls and killer clowns

HG- the only thing that I can think of that fits your description of the troll show is an episode of R.L. Stine's Goosebumps (yes, at one point in time it was a TV show). Did it have a piano teacher who was obssessed with his students hands?
