It's Been A While

Last night I bumped into Adam and Eric at a local bar. It's been so long since I've seen them, but nothing has changed. They are still completely amazing.
They are in my thoughts alot, since they were a huge part of my high school experience. Adams lyrics got me through alot of tough times, but I don't think I was ever really able to thank him properly. Eric and Ken added much needed laughter into my life.
I want to say thank you, and tell you how proud I am of all of you. You've all worked so hard to get to where you are, and I am so happy that I got to see it.
I really hope to see you all soon when you come back to play in New York.
Love Always,
Corinne

Its good that you met up with Adam and Eric again and I hope you don't lose contact with them.
I have only met Adam and Eric once or twice but from what you say the guys would all be cool friends 2 have.
You said that Adam helped you through some rough times with his lyrcs. I think thats awesome and I wish we could all say we had friends like that.

I wish you all the best for 2003 and its good 2 know that they are geuine guys and I guess alway have been.
I totaly agree with you I think what the guys are doing is great.
I don't know them or were not friends, but I think its awesome when you see talented peeps doing what they love and making it work.
And I think the guys are doing this and I know this sounds lame but they are living their dream.
I know this will sound soooo lame but I think a part of me wishes that I could be like that but I think we all have different paths in life and that isn't mine.(Its just that little if I had any talent thing that would be cool)oh which I have none off
I do hope that CR keep bringing us awesome music for a long time.

Ok am gone now, enough of the sentimental stuff from me.
My dad was brought into hospital this morning and am kind of feeling very sentimental about friends and family.
So thats why I think this post is so awesome thanks Corrine.

Party hearty, but not for everyone...

January 8 2003, 12:48 PM

alright, so yes there are some who are in the know of party hosting. yet unfortunately this is not always the case. many a party i've been which have been ruined because of the hosting (or lack thereof). Take for example a party without drinks. Now, I know, most would say 1 of 2 things. 1) you don't need drinks to party (by the way, what planet are you from). or 2) what if the host is in AA. Alright, if the host is in AA they shouldn't be hosting a party. at least don't call it a party. call is a soire, or a get-together, or whatever. a party consists of 3 things. eating, drinking, and merrymaking. these 3 things are the key to throwing a good party. also, other factors include availability of a smoking section, a special place for people to get their groove on, an exceptionally endless array of musical entertainment tuned to your guests' liking(CR being that), and for shits and giggles, a flying monkey. also, to create the right atmosphere and flow to the party, one must be knowledgeable to human nature concerning alcohol and food. they tend to meet. everyone stands either by the refreshments or by the grub. of course there will be some seated on couches, armchairs, the floor, each other, whatever, but the overall flow of human movement and activity tends to be centered around the food and the alcohol. hence people gather around the keg as if it was a bonfire in the arctic. what you need to do is seperate these two elements. place the food in one location (a back wall - buffet style) and place the alcohol (keg or bottles, or preferablly both) in an opposite corner. have seating in the middle, thereby forcing people to interact in some way, shape, or form. this will create conversation, even if it's just "excuse me, i'd like to get by now" it's a start. from there people will start bumping into each other, some guy spills a drink on some chick, he says he's sorry, and immediately with out thinking starts to wipe her down, she thinks he's cute so she lets him, and soon enough the party is starting.

so let's recap.
1. keep the food and beverages away from each other
2. allow for conversation by placing seating areas between the two.
3. have some kick ass music.
4. remember that you are not only the host, but the king or queen of the castle. you are always in control and if things get out of hand you can kick people out.
5. have a kick ass time cause it is a party.
6. get lucky, hey everyone else will be

peace and love,
naggz

You are correct, Sir

January 8 2003, 1:08 PM

Naggz, you should write a book on party throwing, equipment moving, and cute, funny giggling. You are an expert at all three! Your parties have left an indelible mark on all those in attendance. Truly fascinating merrymaking! Keep doin' yo thang, home skillet, an I'll check ya on da rebound

(Naggz - of course we are using code names, why would you run the risk of having people know who you are?)

hey that's not bad...

January 9 2003, 3:27 PM

We totally ought to have a CR-centric party (according to the Naggz Manual of Merrymaking, of course) in London. I'd offer up my hotel room but I'm crashing with some other poor sucker who was dumb enough to offer me floor space. Maybe we can all descend on a local pub (or just drink ourselves to death at Scala) or something. I'm not a native (though my adventures in Scotland of late have taught me all about pounds and pence and the horrors of the morning fry-up and trans-atlantic plane ride from hell) so I don't know the area, but I am now considering this event a must. We can get our groove on with the band then get completely blitzed on the town. In fact, I think the entire weekend should be one long non-stop party. Let's begin the drinking a month in advance, just so we're all suitably liquored up by the time we arrive.

Am right there with ya Kinny

Sounds awesome the more partys the better thats what I say.
2 of the guys am going with are in the 1 room am sure they would only be 2 happy 2 throw a party.
Ya know the Irish love the drink,I mite be in a single room it wasn't me who booked it so I don't know yet.
(2 small for a room party)

Drink fun all weekend oh and of course getting 2 hear CR.
I think around of the bars would be cool or just stay in 1 bar and get plenty of cocktails.
Well what ever it will all be fun

Parties and London

January 10 2003, 4:14 AM

Kinny, it's usually the norm in UK style cons to end up with room parties on a nightly basis... the Troika Bitches are already planning up some ... We've got one of the suites in Paragon

love to come...

January 10 2003, 10:13 AM

but don't know if I can afford it. i am going to look into the matter however. i need to be reminded of the dates they are playing in london in february. would most definitely be a kick ass time. and it's been a good 8 years since i was last romping around london's streets, so i guess i'm due. we'll just have to see. i guess i'd also have to ask the guys if they would mind me bumming along with them, but i can't see this being a big problem. either way, you all should most definitely take up the merrymaking partydom guide. being in the publishing industry, i have considered making a book of it to sell for cheap across universities in the US, and since my company is also based in London, maybe the UK as well. we'll have to see. don't know if my boss is willing to take the kind of risk. alright everyone, take care, party hard, get laid, and have fun.

peace and love,
naggz
