Okay, okay, I'll fill you in, some of this info may be wrong and some of it I just made up on the fly out of my head so take it with a grain of sugar and a pinch of salt:

Rick Birmingham plays guitar (electric guitar?) and sits in with Common Rotation pretty much every time they play in New York, though he wasn't there last time they played a few weeks ago in January. This was quite upsetting and I was in agony over it for many many many hours afterwards. It made me write really angsty crappy poetry while curling up in a darkened room muttering, "Why... why...?" He also does sound work at clubs, likes Rocky Horror Picture Show, and is a Pennsic Geek! Cause you know, the mead is good and junk. Better than beer at any rate. If my heart hadn't already been stolen by a different guitar god, I would say "Rick take me!" Of course he'd just reply, "Vixen, you're weird, go away." But it would be worth it, you know, cause he's Rick!

Oh, great, NOW I find a way to contact Rick- been trying to track him down for ages to get ahold of a friend of his who makes corsets, so I could have one made for me for PBP. Oh well, the one I picked up at Religious Sex will have to do.

And speaking of PBP, I have heard rumors Rick will be there. Hopefully, he won't have to catch an early flight back home!

Did you mean the Religious Sex store in NYC? I keep meaning to stop in there some day, but it's always closed at night (which is usually when I'm in the city). How expensive are they there?

Yes, the same Religious Sex. I think they close around 8pm, which I will never understand.

Most of their corsets are very pricey- they can run in the hundreds of dollars. I have lucked out in the past though- I have three from there- a black on black brocade which was around $40, a white on white brocade with silver detail that was on sale for $19, and a black bustier with herringbone trim for like $30 (TAMZ, you remember that one! You broke it! )

So if you get lucky, the corsets are affordable. And it's a great store to just walk around in and covet all the wonderful things. If you ever get there when they're open, that is

btw, Vixen, I hit Religious Sex this weekend- nothing under $60. Bang Bang on 8th had a few- got a beautiful wine satin with black detail- not the greatest quality (corsets in S, M, L?!?), but it sure is purty- for $40.
