Does Eric playing guitar with, and some of the band promoting, Black Nasty affect your views(and support) of Common Rotation?
While I am not deeply offended by Black Nasty, I have to wonder why anyone would want to affliate themselves with something so hateful. I can appreciate clever crass, but their lyrics are not clever. At least Eminem has a talent for rhymes.
If you are a especially a woman or a member of the Jewish faith I would think twice about supporting this type of 'free speech'.
My life is a little too short to think about 'tampon vampires'.
Eric singing with or promoting (Is he actually promoting?)Black Nasty has absolutely no bearing on what I think of Eric or the band, they were probably there for fun and that is up to them. Not really a topic worth discusing really but then I responded mmmmm.

isn't adam jewish? i can't see him supporting anything anti-semetic.
Iv'e never heard of this band, although am curious now will maybe check out the website.
Adam,is jewish so I guess IF he was there the guy musn't be offensive to him.
Maybe they know the guy, and know it's all in the name of enterinment.(something like that)
I do think it's strange that Eric, would play and not put it up on the forum.I thought it would be put up for peeps, on this forum who live near by, who are of course fans of Eric, would want to hear him play and give him some support.( I could be wrong)
I don't think it's off at all that it wasn't promoted here. This is the COMMON ROTATION forum... if Adam & Eric are friends with this guy they probably just showed up to jam.... it sounded more like a small party thing than a show... even if I had known, I would go to see that artist even if I knew Adam & Eric would be there.

It wasn't advertised by any of the band members. It was posted by an outside party. And I think she meant that that was why it wasn't posted on the web site not the forum.
it was only posted on the forum because someone found out about it... it wasn't posted by Matt or anyone else officially affililiated with the band. Someone else who found out about it somehow posted the info. I was just saying it wasn't promoted officially by the bannd or their management because it wasn't a Common Rotation gig...
Not that I really need to justify myself to someone who can't even bother to post with a name.

Anon-it wasn't posted with the guys other gigs,on the first page of the website.(that's all I meant)
I know it was talked about in the "secret Eric Kufs concert."
The guys, must feel it has nothing do with this website or am sure it would have been posted.
Well,I ain't gonna talk about it any more it doesn't matter to me in one way or the other.
If Eric, puts on a pink tutu and gets up on stage well, "what ever" floats his boat... ( it has got nothing to do with me)
Art is not always meant to be beautiful. The artist creates in order to evoke a response from the viewer. That being said, the artist may intend to shock or offend with their work - or force people to reexamine their own views and perceptions. That is all part of the experience. [Good read for art lovers: John Berger's "Ways of Seeing"]
CR may not necessarily promote Black Nasty, but it is clear that CR promotes free expression and individuality which is definitely a good thing. We can't pick and choose what people are allowed to say - either we all have a voice, or we are all silent, and that's only fair and just.
Hey Art, I want to kill you and then have sex with your mom. Is that ok to say. NO! That's the kinda stuff Black Nasty is saying. There is a line that should really not be crossed I think. And songs about punching Anne Frank in the Face cross that line I THINK! really, whats the "message: in that?!

See this is what happens when you know nothing about black nasty or what he sings about.
Of course I knew nothing about him and still I posted.
Then I read the last post and thought SHIT so "no comment" I know nothing of the black nasty...
Last poster,I see your point I can't see what that would mean or stand for. Although as I have never heard him, I can't comment on anything about him.
Seem's abit SHIT though!

Dear OK Then,
You feel the way you do because you're not thinking. You're just taking the lyrics and words at face value and not actually putting them in context and thinking about them. That's the key there, actually thinking about them before you form an opinion. "Sit down" is not just about being drunk, you know? "Offstage Lines" is not about being on the side of a stage, right?

Okay Then- who cares if you don't like it. They'll do what they want and they won't stop just because you don't like it.
