I HAVE OFF TOMORROW!!!!! I HAVE OFF TOMORROW!!!!! It'll be the closest thing to a CR show that I can get right now (that is if my little earthlink provider decides that it's going to like me tomorrow).
Matt- thanks for posting that it's awsome! that we can watch the guys at the gig.Although not sure about the time difference will have to check that out.
Do you know what time we will be able to watch in the uk?
Sorry! if you've said in your post already.Well, very cool anyway and hope to see it.
Not about the whole webcasting thing which I think is really cool, but about the fact that I'll be in London at that exact time.
I hope there'll be more webcasts.
And on a whole different note, I'm so glad some of you save the CRUM songs and put them online. I won't miss a single one.
--------------------------------------------
I live in my own little world. But it's okay, everybody knows me here.
Dammit....I will miss out on the lovely fake CR in NY experience because I have to go to my school's stupid Battle of the Bands! All the bands suck and CR owns them all! God dammit...*grumblegrumble*

does anyone know??
April 11 2003, 8:42 PM
does anyone know if there will be a link or site i can go to, to see the show after it's over, like, the next day or so? i was going to go out and have a life for a little while, but i really wanted to see the show. so, if anyone knows and could help me out, that would be great!! thanks so much.
I get to work tomorrow which is not fair, but my sister said that she could problay record the sound for me, and i am going to make her watch the whole thing.
I am not sure if the webcast will be archived for you to see AFTER the show is already over, days later, etc. At this point, all I am certain of is that the online webcast is LIVE during the show.
I'll check about the post-dated archival and get back to you!
I hope my shitty computer won't be too shitty tomorrow. Playing video on it is a nightmare as it tends to move every 5 or 10 frames and stop constantly while it loads. And of course, that's followed by an illegal operation and a crash. Stupid piece of worthless crap. Meh. But hopefully it'll work and that too many things don't get broken in a one of my frequent, psychotic fits of rage.
Stef- sounds like your computer and my computer are twins. Mine has a little prop with earthlink in addition to all that. If you stay in the same page for more than ten minutes it bumps you off. >
Yeah. and for me it is also doubtful that I will get to see the webcast since my computer's a worthless piece of crap. Anywho, is there a later time I can view the webcast too? Does anyone know?
I am planning to attempt an archival of the webcast if I can figure out how to record streaming video on my iBook... if I can't figure that out, I am planning to at least record the video onto VHS since I *do* know how to record video from my iBook to my VCR... either way there will be a way for folks who can't tune in live to see it.

Re: Bitter End Show Live Webcast
April 12 2003, 5:40 PM
I have software to pull pretty much any video file, even the streaming ones, so I'll see what I can do about recording it. And if that fails, Cece will have the VHS copy (sweeeeeet). I'm so tremendously glad there's a webcast. Vicarious thrills for all us non-New Yorkers. (It's too cold to be there. What are you all thinking? Give me 70 and sunshine any day.)

April 12 2003, 8:03 PM
I am watching it now and there is a corad, streamer or something blocking the girl's head. I hope it's not that way for CR.

Webcast
April 12 2003, 8:05 PM
Eh, doesn't really matter if anyone's Real player is crap...whoever set up the webcast didn't check all the obstacles that block the performers. There is some wire (?) strung up on the ceiling that is blocking the entire head/face of the girl singing right now. Not to mention the fact that the camera is set way back from the stage. I'll leave it up to listen to CoRo singing, but it will be too much torture trying to watch clearly.
I can't get in I get a message saying "Server has reached its capacity and can serve no more streams. Please try again later." I should have tried a little earlier to get on...*sigh* Hopefully I'll get in before the guys get on.
---------------------------
"Trustworthy. In a really, really, really, laid-back superhero kind of way."
I tried earlier but it was too early so now I tried to get on thinking it work cause it be closer to the show and now I can't get in...bad luck thing going on but I keep trying.
---------------------------
"Trustworthy. In a really, really, really, laid-back superhero kind of way."
Yep I'm getting "Server has reached its capacity and can serve no more streams. Please try again later." So I hope that if I can't get in at all that the archive of the webcast goes up quickly. Though I wonder how many streams it can serve because on the bright side it's a good thing that so many people are tuning into the show. Bad thing is we can't get in...lol
---------------------------
"Trustworthy. In a really, really, really, laid-back superhero kind of way."
yay! I got in. The Best thing to do is keep hitting refresh it took me about 10 or 15 times in a row before I got in. The girl is still singing and yes that damn wire is not in the best spot...lol
---------------------------
"Trustworthy. In a really, really, really, laid-back superhero kind of way."
Ok, I was able to call on my cell phone, and the girl who answered the phone said she'd tell someone about the wire. Who knows if this will get fixed or not, but if enough of us complain, they might do soemthing.
cheers SpikesBiach but theres just 1 prob there, that is the fact that i think at least 3 of us are UK based and I cant see our parents or phone bills likeing the idea of callign NYC somehow

Problems and such........
April 12 2003, 9:12 PM

stuff
April 12 2003, 9:13 PM
LOL sorry, well the others might be able to call.
BTW, I love this song called Super Villian. Cool title too.
i am back to everyones message at the start and it would refresh it says connecting then the message comes, fuck some1 got something against me somewhere , there is no way i would be able to call new york
Got in got to listen to a couple songs from this band and then everything started going funky sound picture everything and then I got a message saying the connection timed out so I'm trying to reconnect again...I hope this isn't what I'm going to be having to do every 20 mins...lol Too bad I didn't have a faster connection it would be probably going a lot smoother not being on dial-up...
back to trying if I don't come back I got back into the webcast.
---------------------------
"Trustworthy. In a really, really, really, laid-back superhero kind of way."
i am seriously gonna cry i am having a nrevous breake down , i cant believe it i really wanted to see this and captain genius cause matt is so nice to me i wanted to hear them play so i could talk to him bout it but not like it gonna happpen i wouldnt care as long as i could get sound but there is no way it will work
PLEASE i will love any1 who can help me forever please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!my friend is the same , cg are really good i never seen them play live before well i think i heard then witno pic but there is nothing this is grrrrr HELP
My sound's great... I've also got video all fo the sudden, moving and everything. I tried to archive this with some software I've got, but I don't think it's going to work. :/
hehe...I think I refreshed one to many times because this pop up came on with a scary aol erro message and when I clicked close AOL signed off...lol I'm going to kill my poor old computer trying to watch CoRo thats some dedication there.
And not sure if refreshing is helping right now...maybe in a few minutes I hope.
---------------------------
"Trustworthy. In a really, really, really, laid-back superhero kind of way."
I am continuing to get the error along with everyone else: "Server has reached its capacity and can serve no more streams. Please try again later." Bah.
I got in right now no one is on so there is still time to try to connect before the guys get on. I decided to change my preferences for real player in hopes that it will allow the webcast not to funk up. I'm on dial-up 56K modem but I right clicked on the screen went to preferences and then to connections where I lowered my normal bandwidth down to 33.6K and made the max bandwidth 56K seems to be working a lot better now. So hopefully it lasts like this.
hope everyone can get in now I'm going now don't want to tempt fate any longer...lol
---------------------------
"Trustworthy. In a really, really, really, laid-back superhero kind of way."
Well, I'm out. I wish I could sit here for another 2 hours hitting refresh, but I can't do it anymore. I've probably hit Cntrl + R about 350 times by now.
Hope they boys play well, I'm sorry I'm gonna miss it. Maybe I will get lucky and it will be archived.
i am so cursed it still wont let me in , i cant believe it i waiting for nothing all night/morning and i am supposed to be going out ... eeek and i still gonna keep tryin lol i must be crazy
my favourite song at the moment on repeat all the time now grrrrrrr i am goinna be so moody when i go to sleep and get bak up caus ei am tryin and tryin but i might shout at a lot of people if i am pissed of about misssing common ro

15. OKLAHOMA (That really cool acoustic version!)
Like I could tell with this video. I only know who everybody is on stage because I'm addicted and uh... all too familiar with their on-stage jamming movements. :D
However, to give those chicks credit where due... it seems to be working. They might be friends/girlfriends of folks in the band.
AH STOP REBUFFERING YOU FUCKER!
CreepingDeth (no login)
NO!
April 12 2003, 11:14 PM
Mine's rebuffering as well!?!?!?!?!?! BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I love this song!!
Do you know the air? In and out like a coffee pot..
Really, one of these days I'm going to ask Adam what exactly he means by this. It makes no sense. But bonus points go out for using the word "coffee" in a song.

Jumping on the bandwagon of fun...
Okay, I can see only a tiny sliver of the person playing the violin/fiddle/whatever, as the only thing the camera's picking up is the occasional hand. But that sounds AWESOME. I love the addition of those strings.

Ya know
April 12 2003, 11:24 PM
I never really was a big fan of this song, up until now! I love those horns!
I wish I could see the show like ya'll. But I'm happy with the cell phone. Sides, using my imagination I can see coloured stick people bouncing around a stage to CoRo music. Much entertainment.

"Trustworthy. In a really, really, really, laid-back superhero kind of way."
HG- I feel like clapping with them via the phone.. but, well, I'm not that far gone. Yet. Yeah I was clapping while trying to watch the webcast people kept coming in my room giving me strange looks. I don't mind though, that and they already think I'm cracked.
That was an great concert...I wish I could have been there. I need to get my ass to one of their gigs some day soon.

"Trustworthy. In a really, really, really, laid-back superhero kind of way."
So... did anyone manage to get the webcast saved so us poor people in the uk who had to be up for work at 5am so couldnt watch it live can get to see it?!
I managed to get some of the songs recorded in wav format. I'm gonna try and convert them later. Some of the songs I won't bother because there was a point when the sound went wacky. But I got quite a few.
sorry for the double post...Here are the mp3s I have.

Rick guitar confusion
April 14 2003, 10:51 AM
Rick did play the electric guitar, as well as acoustic. The moment Adam chose to introduce him as "Mr. Rick Birmingham on the electric guitar" was actually right after Rick had switched to the acoustic for the next song, so Adam introduced him again on the acoustic. Just a matter of lousy timing!
