Hello Common Rotation fans. I have a perfectly good, all paid-for ticket for the Tuesday April 29 show that I will not be able to use due to family emergency (believe me, anything less would not keep me away from a Common Ro show). The last thing I want is to prevent one single ticket from being sold, so if tickets are still available and you were going to buy one -- ignore this post and go buy a ticket from Knitting Factory! If, however, you have a friend who would go to the show with you but has said no only due to dire poverty, you can have my ticket, with my blessings, because I would like to make sure some body is in that room on that ticket, even if it can't be my body. So if you can use the ticket, email me at -- I am spreading the e-address out to thwart any spam-spewing software that may cruise this board --
shapenew @aol.com -- I will give you my confirmation number and you can pick the ticket up at the box office. (And if you're wondering if this is a joke, Deborah will vouch for me -- hiya, Deborah.)

Can I tell you how bummed I am at having to miss this show? I don't have to tell you, you can imagine ...

I fully vouch for the authenticity of this. I only wish I'd been able to find a taker, but I'd already forced my friends to scrape their pennies together and purchase tickets. Except those who a) have the valid excuse of having mandatory classes and b) those who are busy studying for extremely heinous finals.

I suspect you won't have too much of a problem finding a taker for the ticket. As for the absence, you'll be missed, but this is by no means abandonment - not when you'll be there Friday! No cause for guilt, if a bit of sadness...

Hell, you can have her if you want 'er. You'd just have to drive up to Monterey to pick her up. We're still trying to find her a home. It's wicked depressing considering she's the cutest dog in the world.

And the cat I was thinking of selling is the fat one. Because the other one's all quiet and nice and stuff and this one is a noisy little bastard. But hey, never fear, I got an unexpected cash windfall today to balance out my shitty morning, so I now officially have a ticket. I'd sing my joy, but even the cat doesn't want to hear that shit.
