Awesome, Deb! The 2 of Rick are awesome. I'm just sad you didn't get that butt-smackin' pose LOL That woulda been grrrreat! Those couple of Eric are really nice, too. My fave's gotta be the one from the left side of the stage, with Rick's back to the cam....it's just an awesome panoramic shot. Really nice, showing the space and all. Lovely, my dear, lovely!
Great pics Deb! I know I've said it before but you never fail to amaze people with you're outstanding photography. Good job and keep it up, sister in lovin-of-rick!

HG:
I have to admit, I came mighty near the verge of passing out in a puddle of my own drool when I saw that picture. Not a pretty picture, but hey! It's the mother-lovin' truth.
everyone:
Thank you for the kind words. This is probably kinda involved for the forum, but it really means a lot to me 'cause taking pictures is what I love. I'm in a program that's so not suited for me, so to try to make an art of turning what I love into something lasting has been a most enjoyable challenge. So every time someone says, cool pictures! I relish that, because such a little coincidence let to me taking pictures at all, and now it's what I have to look forward to. Last week I talked with a girl who said she envied me for knowing what I loved, and I realized she was right. At some point, without my even realizing it, I gained an unexpected direction. I love to know that I'm capturing those moments for other people, too, and that they are enjoyed. That's art, the kind I love, and it's my sincere hope I only get better and better. With the coolest subjects on earth and with other things, too.
So, yeah, thanks.
And Rachel? You rock!

and when I say "not a pretty picture," I am of course referring to me in the 'inadvertent swimming' picture. Not the original picture. Because that is very and uncontestably a pretty picture. (Although somehow the word 'pretty' seems wrong! But, hey, context calls for it!)

Awesome pics Deb! (as usual) And you were right about that one of Rick. Yowza!
I think that the Knitting Factory is a fucking awesome place for picture taking. The one time I've been there I got great pics and Deb's pics always turn out great there too. Yay for good lighting I suppose!

Deb - I'm still maddly in love with that Rick picture. It'd make an awesome wallpaper. It's my favourite Deb photo. In fact, I want an 8 x 10 glossy of it. Can I beg?
Okay, lunch time.

Sure thing It could replace the dinner I owe you, which, yes, I still owe you in spite of your not knowing why. It was for your graciousness in going out of your way to give me a ride at the very last minute. So I wanted to return the favor, and it looks like I'll just be doing it in an infinitely more satisfying way.
I don't have the film with me, so I don't know if I can get it done by tomorrow, but maybe?
And, yes, I've had more than a couple of e-mails from folks (yes, those would be womenfolk) asking, "Oh, man, who IS that guy?!" Heh.

Deb, as usual, your pictures rock. Even the ones that came out slightly fuzzy look cool. How does that happen? :P Anyway, thanks for posting them. I really appreciate you sharing them with everyone. Unfortunately, geographical issues prevent me from going to most of the shows but looking through your pictures at least gives me a sense of being there. So, again, thank you.

I know I'm what some might describe gently as "grossly sentimental," but I love things that make people happy. This'd be one of them. It's a huge part of why I take pictures at all... to show people the way I see them, the world. And hope some of it takes.
Also, Lael's request got me thinking. If anyone wants copies of pictures I've taken, enlarged or whatever, I'd be happy to do that, with the provision that you sent enough to cover the processing. Just let me know.
