Review? Absolutely brilliant for a start..
Just a quick comment to say how great the guys were - which considering how crap the organisation of the weekend was is amazing (the organisers couldn't find beer in a pub if it was in front of them)
Eric was even better than ever and Adam was classic.
A great evening and well worth the wandering around and the sleepiness that ensues at work today :)

Was a really gd concert, didnt go to the convention but went to the scala. Had an excellent time even tho i was so tired, they had a lot of energy especially adam, but i suppose he's always like that. A lot of jokes were made by the smoke machines that kept coming on randomly and making lots of noise, which adam found hilarious and the fact that we say cheers or something like that. They interacted with the crowd a lot, even down to some random guy behind me counting them in spontaneously when they joked around and couldnt get back into the song altogether. They sounded amazing together and they blend so well together...erics voice was amazing and mike was just cute. Didnt know who was mike or ken LOL but at the end, ken came out and came up to a us , so i winked at him but then was introduced to him properly, and then mike was so sweet, got a pic with him. Went up to eric who was so eager to talk to us but told him we wanted a pic and had to leave and catch the last train home, so he jokingly said FINE GO! Once again, had an amazing time, i suppose we'll be waiting a long time to see them over in London again,

Gutted I couldn't go! ! Pitbull for a boss, you know the score!
Hopefully the band will come back for another tour. . . Let me know!
It was really good, i really enjoyed myself, and the guys were brilliant, really funny, and i managed to create 3 new fans for them so my work here is done!
So glad they came to England, lucky america having them to them selfs!!
I'm hopeless with words so I'm not even gonna try describe the sheer amazingness (see? not even a real word) that was Common Rotation last night!
Suffice to say, I took 3 friends along with me (friends that I've been telling for months how fantastic the band is) and they are now all totally converted. "It was the best night of the entire weekend" was the phrase that was used!!
Anyway, I took roughly 80 photos at the Harvest and about 110 at Scala...so I'll post asap (hopefully tomorrow)!!
Looking forward to Thursday more than I thought was possible!
Woo Hoo! I got in and had a great time. I was right near the front so had a good view of the band, I think I know who everyone is now. Adam & Eric have great voices, and Adam is a complete nutter, I don't know where he gets his energy from. He was announcing the next song and everyone cheered and he said 'how can you cheer before you know the song, it might be that nasty song we do' which cracked everyone up. Anyway I enjoyed it so much I bought the CD, come back soon guys.

The ones of me posing were so embarrassing, didnt realise i had ken and matt at the back of me and mike sitting right next to me, only after the pics were taken did my friend point this out.
Kat, u talking bout the room party? Came for like 5 mins at the beginning to sign the card but had to leave to catch the last train i supplied some of the beer tho and the packet of half eaten haribo LOL

June 24 2003, 7:05 PM
last night was...f**king fantastic. truly. i'd enjoyed the recorded songs i'd heard but they are nothing compared to the band playing live. their energy and enthusiasm was contagious, they so obviously enjoy what they do. even if i hadn't loved the music (which i did LOL) i think i would have been swept away by the atmosphere. i took a friend for her birthday and she hasn't stopped talking about how great Eric Kufs is. she has a point - but the band as a whole got to me. one Hell of a night. a long time since i've been to a gig that good (even if the levels were a little off) and i'd jump at the chance to see them again. yep, you guys in the States are v lucky. v v lucky.
still blissing out...
Hey newbie here to the band and site, but im so buzzing from seeing them that I had to come here and post my report.
I just cannot stop listening to Common Rotation since lastnight and Adam is actually like Elmo on speed. These guys so kick arse and I would love to go to as many of their gigs as I can and am seriously kicking myself for not getting round to listening to them before, but what a way to be introduced to a new band, but at a kick arse gig with a nutty as peanut butter audience. There were some fans at the front of the stage that were shouting requests out and Adam says "I think its time we changed this around and we tell you what the fcuk we are going to do next" people just carried on cheering and yelling comments, couldnt quiet hear what, but think it was along the line of take more clothing off as he had just taken his suit jacket off (Hell does he look good in a suit, and even better with glasses on) a guy at the back of the crowd shouted "Just get on with it" which made everyone laugh and Adam commented something about needing the rythm to get into it after all this (I may be getting words mixed up cos this is from my very poor memory lol) so guy who had yelled get on with it now shouts out very loud "1234" and got us all laughin again so Adam asked him to do it again, but a little slower. so guy shouts again and off they go singing (Think it was called 'The crowd and I' but dont quote me) halfway through Adam started singing quieter and quieter till he was just there swaying and looking out into the audience. nothing no reaction so he just carried on swaying till eventually he shouts "Say it" but not sure if anyone either understood what he actually said (Because cloth ears here didnt) or wasnt sure what he wanted or if this is a regular thing, but he shouts again "say it" theres a bit of a pause and guy at back counts them in again. think this happened a couple more times and it was real funny and incredibly cool. All the guys are so taleted and just love the way Adam dances about the stage theres just something so sexy about that broken string puppet dance. As soon as I can I will be buying both albums and will probably wear large holes in them. Right got to find out where they are playing next and who can I sell to afford tickets
Have to also add that it had been a very hard 5 days getting around London as they are so not disable friendly and I was in a lot of agony after having to battle all those stairs in the Scala and shock horror theres nowhere for me to sit and I ended up wandering around trying to find somwhere so sorry if I was getting in peoples line of sight. Anyway the point to this is I hardly felt the agony I was in the whole time the band was on and think I will just have to go to more gigs for this great pain relief lol.
Oh bloody hell just look at that im bloody anomynus I hate that word cos not only cant I spell it I cant say it wwaaaaaaaaaaghhh oh bugger it I dont bloody care anyway lol

Glad everyone had fun.
Smidsy - Thank you for sharing and welcome to the board. Adam (along w/ the rest of CoRo) is fantastic at his improvs and they're almost always laugh-out-loud funny. Now that you've learned the goodness that is Common Rotation, your job, should you choose to accept it, is to spread the word to all your friends... it'll make you feel good and put hair on your chest.
Just a couple of friendly corrections to your review Smidsy.....
The comment that people were shouting when Adam made his "we'll tell you what we're gonna do" remark was actually a request for Adam to say "Troika Bitches". Made me kinda peeved as it was a CoRo night not a Troika night, but I'll learn to live with it!
And the song that the guy at the back was counting them in to, was "Oklahoma"
it was wonderful !!!
the concert was amazing , it was even better than i imagined
i loved it when the sung borderline ^___^ and yes it all started with one of my favourite songs
and i would also like to say that i think it is fantastic how they treat their fans , they are all so incredibly sweet
really cool when they came back after their concert ..i can imagine that they where really tired but they came back anyway
and first i was a bit nervous but everyone was so sweet that i soon felt more at ease
oh and i took loads of pictures , i am going to get them developed today
I'm ashamed to say that I had never heard of Common Rotation till the Harvest Weekend, and I had not bothered to buy tickets for Scala. Then on that fateful Saturday night I went to the Charity Concert and was Blown Away! Unfortunately by that point I had less than £10 to my name (having recently maxed out my switch card getting money for photos etc), I was devastated.
I stayed at the hotel at the weekend, even though I work in London I live in Hertfordshire (1 ½ hrs away by tube and train). I checked out the hotel on Monday morning, said bye to my boyfriend (he went back up north) and took my suitcase to work with me, All I could think of was how I really wanted to go to the common rotation gig, this could be my only chance, but all the odds were stacked against me! I had my suitcase with me, I didn’t have a ticket, I didn’t have enough time to go home, etc.
By lunchtime I had decided! I was going to go to that gig! I was resolute, I sorted out some money at the bank (from my quickly dwindling savings account!), rang Scala and found out you could get tickets on the door, and arranged with my boss to leave an hour early so I could take my suitcase home. I rushed back to Hertford, dumped my stuff at home got changed, rushed back to London (got lost at Kings Cross!) and finally I made it, boy was it great to see so many familiar faces from the Harvest, it felt like the weekend hadn’t ended yet! (I’ll ignore the work bit in the middle).
Needless to say it was all worth it! Common Rotation were fantastic! Adam and Eric were just as good as they were on Saturday, and it was so nice to get to meet the rest of the band! They are so entertaining, when I see a band at a gig and I don’t know their music so well, I tend to get bored and tired from standing up so long, but with Adam entertaining between songs, the crowd interaction, and the sheer good quality of the music I felt like it didn’t last long enough!
Sorry for the length of this post, I just felt the need to tell my story! As a round up of what I just said, Common Rotation are Brill and I can’t get their CD off my Stereo! My mission is now to play it really loud and convert all my housemates!
Thanks for listening
A new fan!

Ghost of the WHO? Common Rotation ROCKS!
June 25 2003, 6:50 AM
Yeah, the subject of my post pretty much sums it up.
I had seen GotR twice before the CommonRo gig and liked them A Lot, but now I have to admit GotR pales in comparison to CommonRo.
A friend of mine held up a "We {heart} U" sign during the CommonRo gig, and I thought of it as a joke until the gig started and I stood there staring with my mouth hanging open. I can now say without a doubt that I do {heart} CommonRo. Hopefully they'll consider stopping by Germany at some point, 'cause I'd be there in a heartbeat.
Common Rotation: more than a good band - a bloody fantastic band! Woo-hoo! ~does fan dance~

THANK YOU!
June 25 2003, 9:51 AM
Everyone who's posting reviews and comments on the shows, thank you for doing so! It's making me all giddy because, hey! If I can't be at a show live, it's the next-best-thing to hear about other people loving every second of it... everyone seems so delighted (which, well, how could they not be?) that I really do feel giddy and all full of hope that these guys can start nabbing some freakin' huge audiences. It also reminds me of how I walked into my first show expecting nothing and was instantly blown away... I don't think I could sleep, I was so wired after that show! Anyhow, I hope there are more tales to share yet.
Welcome to all those new here!
And, as an aside, reading these posts reminds me how I SO wish I could get my hometown (not my LA, since several want to go to the next shows after listening to Union Maid songs) friends to see them live... they're still like, "Eh, well, they sound good, but whatever," and I can only think, ach, damn, if you saw them live you'd have to get it!
cheers!

I've been going to gigs (that word alone shows my age) for years, seen everyone from Genesis and David Bowie to GOTR and this was THE BEST SHOW I'VE EVER BEEN TO! When are Common Rotation coming back to London? I want to bring all my friends.
Seeing Adam and Eric do the accustic set on saturday was good enough, but the monday show really ROCKED.
I was the guy that counted them in on Oklahoma and I would crawl over broken glass to see them again.
Man, you are hilarious!! What a thrill that must have been... a band waiting for you to count them in?!
Were you the one that jokingly shouted, "get on with it" beforehand?

Briel, i had no idea that was matt busch...i gathered from reading posts on this board that he looked like adam with a beard, but OMG totally different...hair and everything. Looks completely the opposite to adam and never would have picked up it was matt until ken said his name. But there u go...bit OT but i have some pics of me with freddie pr junior and chris klein too LOL

Yeap
June 27 2003, 3:33 AM
Yeap it was me that said "Get on with it!" Because they clearly didn't hear I then said, "You know, 1234."
- I am known to be a bit rude sometimes, I am the guy who told Tom Lenk that I didn't like his hair at the Harvest. I often open my mouth then think afterwards.
I had never heard Common Rotation before - except saturday night acoustic set, and I had no idea that Oklahoma had lots of pauses in it so the first time they wanted me to shout again I took a while to catch on, but by the end I think we were making quite a team!

Briel- met them over in London when they were doing a play called 'This is our youth' down in the west end. Great play and i have so many pics of them. Theyre really sweet and even better looking in the flesh.
As I don't have so many of them and not all are Common Rotation, I thought I'd post them in this thread. Well, it seems that only pix of Common Rotation really went out well!
So, here's the link:
http//dranslant.free.fr/The_Harvest_Common Rotation.html
I could be in bed now... but decided that i coud not type any post, any link, anything in a proper way so that I could do every thing one more time. Yey! Free ride!
Doesn't work either. so: aaaaaarg! again. Maybe with a grrr too.
So, what I suggest is: copy and paste the link from the first message I've written tonight to where-you-usually-write-URL in your browser
Xanne! I love the pictures of you and Adam and Eric! Next time approach Matt and then, in a low sinister voice say something about "those damn hippies.."

When Matt came on stage checking the stage and putting down the set lists for the boys, a small group of us were trying to act like Matt B groupies LOL
we yelled "MAAAAATTTTT! MAAAAAATTTTT!" unfor, I think he was a little too focused on his job to hear our girly screams
Yep, I remember that. I think he's not used to be, errm, let's say, 'called' by the audience. He gave some set lists at the end of the show, though, se he can hear us.
But, hey man! You _can't_ hide anymore, we know you! Plus, you have cool t-shirts.

Not to mention that he looks like Jesus. lol
My friend was trying to figure out who Matt reminds her of, and at first she said he looks like a mix of Adam and Brad Pitt, but after some drinking she decided he looks like Jesus. Heh.
Xanne, wicked pics! I think I was in front of you during the gig, me: long dark hair wearing a Ramones top with fishnet arms (that sounds weirder than it looks, honest)
Loved the gig, first full scale CoRo gig (saw them at The Harvest as well) and I only wish I could've gone to the others in the UK, cos it sounds like they were excellent in Belfast and Glasgow too (curses not having any money!).
Well, not much to say about the gig apart from what's been said already, so I'll go away now...lol

*cough, cough*
Probably I shouldn't admit it... but yes, Hacker Groupie IS the official Autograph Whore...
err..
We (meaning me) have Matt's autograph. Because he was there. And so was I. We also have our friend Moira's autograph and she's not famous. She is, however, uber nifty.
Then there was this cute cop, once, who gave me a speeding ticket. I don't have his autograph though. I didn't feel like the timing was right for that sort of thing.
