So, I walk into the office monday morning, they pull me and the rest of the department into the conference room and say, "Well, sorry boys and girls but the whole production department is moving to florida. You have four months left here. After that, welcome to boca raton." So, if there's anyone out there with a job opening as a designer, editor, or (my specialty) production editor in either the book or magazine publishing industry, i'd greatly a shout out my way. At least I have some time to get everything in order. We'll just have to see how the ball drops.

Where are you located? I work for Macmillan/McGraw- Hill publishing. We own other school divisions as well. They are always hiring for designers in certain parts of the country mainly New York, but sometimes in other states as well.

I can identify with that... Our company got acquired last year (shan't say which but it was in the music news) and the local company cldn't absorb all of us. So there we went.

Good thing I've worked there for 6 yrs and therefore the retrenchment package was good enough to have me leech on for awhile.

Currently, I'm just bumming around :D
