I would rush out to go to a show you are at! Honest. I would like to meet more of the people who frequent the CR board. Identify the crazies, you know. I mean .... er. Did I sign my name to this already? Uh-oh.

CoRo Crazies. That could be the name of our fan club.
I emailed myself from my phone so I'd remember since I have a crappy memory, but here's tonight's set list:
Indie Rockin'
Everything Under The Sun
Sit Down
Party People
Heaven Help Me
Afterthought
It's Always More Than Once Before It Takes
It's Not My Birthday
Radio DJ
God Will
It was a great show, albiet a 30 minute one. The crowd was interesting to say the least. I'd like to say it was because all the middle aged folk with children were downing the booze. But people definitely enjoyed the music and some folks gave a standing ovation at the end. God Will was sung a cappella, a somewhat feat to perform since it was outside so I'm sure a lot of people couldn't hear but it was still awesome to hear.
I'd probably get killed if I said the best part of the whole concert were the theme songs played during intermission between bands but, hey. I never said I was normal.
But there you go. Another successful Common Rotation performance and this is my first time doing a report like this so I feel all special now. Even if it's in the mentally touched aspect.

Although it was short, it was definitely a great show! "Afterthought" is quickly becoming one of my favorite songs. It just sounds better and better every time I hear it played live. The crowd was definitely...odd. It was a strange mix of elderly people, small children, and everyone in between. At first, I think they thought Common Rotationw as kind of weird, but they definitely got into the music later on. The older folks who gave them a standing ovation at the end were really cool. That was so nice to see.
All in all, I'm glad I drove the 2 hours and went..even if I DID get a $125 speeding ticket on my way home. sigh I just can't win. And on that note, here's the one, sad photo I took while they were sound-checking:

It was definitely all pretty and green. It was a housing development, with a town square that consisted of some shopping aread, restaurants, and this little amphitheatre stage set on a lawn. Interesting place..very cute. Sorry no more pictures...I'm not usually picture gal.

Sound all in all as though it was a fun show. Very cool.

Thanks guys for the gig reports! And yes Karen, definitely get the pics up. You can't have enough Com. Ro. photos.
As I quickly attempt to do this before work. Here they are, as promised. I was really photographing the bushes, I swear.

How do you post photos?
August 2 2004, 11:21 PM
Hey guys. Sorry for the lateness of this post. But I have a photo of the band that I would like to post. How do I go about doing that? And how big should the image be? Thanks!
watcher652~ You could get a photobucket account (http://www.photobucket.com) and upload whatever picture you want to share. A good size to make it before you upload it would be maybe 600x800 pixels or something like that. Not too much bigger or it will stretch the page. Umm hope that helps?

OK, I have a photo. I don't know how to get it on the message board. Let's see if this works.

Sorry. I don't see my photo. Somebody will have to tell me what to do. I guess I can't go back and edit something I already posted.
I love how GREEN it is there. It'd be really cool to see them play outside like that.

Huh?
August 31 2004, 3:25 PM
Well, this is bizarre. The photo doesn't load when I first come into the message board. But after I cut and paste the url from Briel's message and get the photo manually, then come back to the board, the photo shows up in the post. It's like it has to be preloaded to show up. Weird. Karen's photos come up in her message immediately.
Glad you like the photo. I'll try to get the other two up for you when I get home.
