Hey folks...great show! Unfortunately I'm not there except by cell phone...poised on the edge of the stage at Adam's feet...

The set list- Title: Comedian

Indy Rockin'

Belfast

Everything Under the Sun

Sit Down

Gone Dyin'

Heaven Help Me

Hey Mr. DJ

God Will

The guys are "on" and energetic tonight with the audience really getting it by the last song. Yeah...I know...short but since it's my impressions via KatEyz cell phone that's what I've got for ya!

The rest of the show...

July 31 2004, 11:01 PM

Oh yeah, a couple of other things...I had the pleasure of seeing Common Ro two days in a row earlier this month at their Missouri gigs with TMBG... KatEyz and Regan thought that since I didn't get to make it to the New York gigs this weekend...and that was not for the lack of wanting to go or even trying...

BUT... they thought that since they had blessed me with hearing Common Ro tonight that they should also gift me with a song from Corn Mo...now don't get me wrong here...he is truly a nice guy...Matt introduced us at the Columbia Blue Note show, and we had several opportunities to chat...

Ummmm...it's just that FULL VOLUME 70's style "rock opera" music played on the accordian while KICKING CYMBALS is just not really my thing...

So 'Thank you' to KatEyz and Regan for another opportunity to listen to COMMON RO who ROCKED... and for the rare 'privelege'of getting to hear the act following them before TMBG takes the stage...

Corn Mo, Our Guys and TMBG = A Great Show

August 1 2004, 2:02 PM

Cate,

I agree that Corn Mo is a "required taste", but you haven't lived until you hear, "We Are The Champions" played on the accordion.

I had a great time last night. TMBG were fabulous and it's been at least 10 years since I've seen them perform. They played "New York City" and I love that song.

Everything started an hour late, but it was worth it. I probably lost about 3 - 5 pounds worth of water weight because it was so freaking hot in the club.

"You're trashy, but I like it."

LONG LIVE CORNMO!

August 1 2004, 8:47 PM

CornMo totally rawked! I liked the first song, "Lollipops, Popcorn and CornMo", "Gary Busey" and the ex-girlfriend song. And who didn't love "We Are The Champions"? Everybody in the audience was singing along. I have respect and admiration for any entertainer who has the guts to follow their dreams and get up on stage for all the world to see. But for CornMo, I must give him twice as much.

Oh yea, CR was good too. lol

Peace Love and Cheese

Hey Denise & Jo Ann-

Actually I've heard Corn Mo three times now...Once in Columbia at the Blue Note, once in St. Louis at Mississippi night and then We Are the Champions from The Downtown...

Like I said...REALLY NICE GUY...but still not my choice of music styles...

Actually it was during "We Are The Champions" that I called Cate for her to listen in to his rendition of it! I also think that Corn Mo is a very nice guy and we chatted a bit as he remembered me from St. Louis. His music isn't quite my style however......

I agree that the club was unbearably hot and humid, not to mention OVERLY packed with people. You couldn't even move in that place.

I have to add that the TMBG fans I have met at these tour shows have been all VERY nice people! At 2 gigs now, they have allowed me, Regan, and Cate to get up to the stage for Common Rotation's performance! A huge thanks to all the wonderful TMBG fans that let a very short person see!

The only pictures I have are of the security guards who were hitting on Kat Eyz and Regan.

I don't remember what it was that brought it up but the bald guy was saying something and I said something to the effect of, "Alright, we'll trade shirts." He slowly pulled up his t-shirt and I poked him in the belly button!

But those guys were all about you two and I fulfilled my usual role as "the Hot Chick's friend" that guys always go to with questions.

Peace Love and Cheese

I don't think they were all about me at all...didn't I wander off into the club in the midst of a conversation??? Hehe..

I beg to differ! 3 guys approach 3 girls. Seems like one for each to me, hahahaha. Although none were anywhere near my type, lol. I don't even think they were all that interested, just killing time while trying to escape the oppressive heat, just like we were.

Ok, off to deal with the photos.......
