Common Rotation UK Tour 2004 - Thanks

Hi Everyone! Well, I'm finally back home and back at work (which seems soooooooo boring).

I had the most fantastic week last week. I can't thank everyone enough for the great time we had, but primary thanks must go to Adam, Eric, Jordan, Matt and Simon. Thanks also to Ben, Denis and any other "backstage" people who we met, but didn't get names.

I would also like to thank Jay and her (very friendly and lively!) family for allowing us into their home to watch the Glasgow Living Room gig. It was great fun and I hope that next time I'm up Glasgow way I can come visit – with or without the Boys.

Thanks also to Karla and her family for allowing us in to the Banbridge Living Room Gig at the last minute and also for putting up with us as we waited for our (very delayed) cab. I also want to apologise to Karla, because Linda, Katie and I were not aware of the "no flash photography" rule until Matt gesticulated to me in the hallway. Had we known about the ban we would definitely not have used our flash cameras.

I would also like to thank Adam for persuading Linda, Katie and I to go to Belfast (yeah, like it took much persuading!). You were right, Adam, we had to finish the tour! Even though there were a few traumas (I had no idea if I would get back to England as I didn't have any identification with me!) and it was exhausting I don't think that any of us would have forgiven ourselves if we hadn't have gone.

I would also like to thank the booking operator at bmi who messed up my flight on the way home … (Yes, I mean thank)

I would like to thank Kat and every else way too numerous to mention who I met "on the road" for being such good company. I would also like to thank Linda and Katie for putting up with me through the Glasgow and Ireland gigs and for their company. You were great, girls, and we must do it again sometime.

But again, thanks to Adam, Eric and Jordan for fabulous performances, which never faltered and always entertained. You guys were great and I can't wait until the next time(s?). I really didn't want it all to end (yes, ok, I cried during the Banbridge gig …. I'm not usually that sentimental – honest) but I am soooo looking forward to next year when we can do it all again.

I also want to send big hugs and kisses to the guy I said goodbye to a total of six times in the end. Hope you got where you wanted eventually and I'll see you soon. And thanks to my Tequila drinking buddy. As the song goes, as long as you're drinking, you've got a good friend somewhere.

So, that's all the thanks that I can remember. If there's anyone else that I should have thanked, then please take it as read.

I know this is long enough, but I will see if I get the time to do a proper report so you can read up on everything else.

Lots

Davina

Davina you got home safely good good! I have lost ur e-mail so I am going to post this here-

Davina and all the guys at the scotland living room I just wanted to explain why after the band played I was so quiet and not in the best of moods. I got a phone call after the guys had played saying that my gran who had a triple heart bypass the day before had taken a little turn for the worse, she is getting better now and the outlook seems good.

I hope everyone had a fun time at both scotland gigs, next time I want to see more dancing!!!! I am not getting up on a table again.

Davina hurry up and post these reviews and pictures, we all want to hear about your time as the official CR groupie!!! lol.

Froggy you took loads of pictures when are we going to see them?

Tori x

Tori, I'm really sorry to hear that, I wondered why you were so quiet, but didn't like to ask in case it was a private matter. Glad things are better now.

Unfortunately, I don't have a digital camera (yes, I know, I'm stuck in the dark ages!) but Linda and Katie, who also did the whole tour, do and they should have some great photos. I've just got mine developed and I have to say they are far better than I thought they would be. If I can find some extra money I might get them put on CD and then I can post them somewhere.

If we are thanking....

October 11 2004, 6:47 PM

I need to thank Adam, Eric and Jordan to for the two amazing gigs that I saw. I couldn't have been more close at the Troubador and the guys were entertaining and faultless as always. I heard Clear Channel for the first time and I don't think it has come off my ipod since...

I really wanna thank Jordan individually actually. I have never seen you play with Adam and Eric before and I LOVED every second of you on stage. The trumpet was an ideal addition ( try saying that 10 times fast ) to the music and your vocals for Pawn were gorgeous. Thank you so much.

I need to say hi to Davina ! Remember me ?! We met at the Troubador and I rarely meet people I feel so comfortable around straight off. You are a riot and I hope I see you next year

Biggest thanks for me though has to go to my best friend Kat. She made my entire weekend. I wouldn't have had nearly as much fun without her. From the lending of combs and compact mirrors to singing God Will and Oklahoma together. For our amazing talks and for being my lifelong CR buddy. Never again will we see that band seperatly ! After that weekend I felt so much closer to her and not a day has gone by since when we havn't spoken ! Power of CR ! Uniting people for life. ! Love it.

Yes, babe, I remember you! And I'm already saving for the next tour just to see if I can do all of it again!

Hopefully, the next six months will fly.

I've prepared a report, but it's seven pages long!

I'll see what I can do with it.

oops then twas Simon I had to apologise to in the Troubadour for jumping up to "Sit Down" (see, I never do what I'm told! ) and cracking my head on the camera which I hadn't even noticed behind me! giggle!ouch !!

Oops bet that footage got cut!

Tell me all-knowing forum peeps - I read here and there about a DVD going to be released of the Living Room Tour .. is it something done already - from earlier dates? .. or a project that these recent dates were part of? Orrrrrrrrr just a rumour tease?!

As far as I know the dvd will cover a lot of gigs from both the US and Britain. I'm not sure when they started filming, but I saw them film Oakland and Concord LR gigs in the summer this year. I spoke to Peter (who filmed in the US) and he said it should be out next year.

They must have masses of footage so I guess it'll take a while to put together.
