Just read it. I'm still laughing. Maybe they want CommonRo to love them too? Hahahahaha. Sorry, can't stop it...

No need of dying here. They just copied the Common Rotation Story from the main page. No mention of that special song or anything.

Wow...that cracks me up. Very, very funny.

I knew the guys were getting a lot of new fans, but I didn't think Clear Channel was one of them.

It wouldn't surprise me if the irony was completely lost on whomever put that article up. I think it's funny as hell, of course! :D

On the contrary....

That was a highly sophisticated marketing move on Clear Channel's part. Clear Channel has been under rapid fire lately - ever hear the expression "keep your friends close and your enemies closer?"

By putting Common Rotation on their site, they are indicating that they are aware of the band's message and trying to prove that they are not intimidated by the band's efforts to start a grass roots campaign against a behemoth corporation.

I believe that Clear Channel is somewhat concerned, otherwise, they wouldn't bother with this tactic at all. A corporation like that does their homework - they know who is in their corner and who is backing them into a corner.

With Howard Stern moving to satellite, the public has not been feeling the love for CC. In response, the company has been making some major changes, including the election of a new CEO. Although I have my personal thoughts about the company, I must say, their marketing team is clever.
