Troubadour gig finishing time?

Hi

Does anyone know what time the gigs at the troubadour usually finish please? And do the band ever hang around afterwards?

I have to be at Paddington for 11.35 for the last train home which is quite annoying.

Thanks in advance

Heather

As far as I can remember, the Troubadour keeps normal opening hours (ie closes at 11, drinking time till 11.20 then out the door). I'm not sure what time the actual performance will end tho and sometimes the boys do hang around.

Hi there,

Speaking as someone who also has to run for the train afterwards from what I remember of last year we left the Troub' a couple of minutes after eleven. So I'd guess that they finished at eleven!

I must agree that the train times from London are more than just "annoying" - for a so called "World Class City" it's a joke to have to bail out at eleven just to catch the last train home.

The one thing I do remember clearly about the night was just how damn good it was. So good that I'm doing both days this time!

Cheers, Geoff

Many thanks both of you!

It turns out for one of my friends that it works out cheaper for her to stay in London rather than travel back with us an d then go back to uni. Plus it'll be a lot less stressful and we can stay and have a drink afterwards. So I've decided to splash out and we're now gonna stay.

I'm so excited!

Thanks again

Heather

Geoff, I hate the fact that the last Tube is just after midnight, usually.

Though haveing said that, I've also lived in a house that backed onto an aboveground Tube line. So, six to one, half-a-dozen to the other. At least there's the night bus. Where I live, once the buses and tains stop, it's cabs only.

Hi Sue,

You words tell the truth, but have a little pity for me because I live down in Surrey. I come up to central London for a few gigs during the year and no matter how good they are you always have in the back of your mind that little clock ticking off the minutes until the last train/tube. I hate to think of the number of times I've come running out of the Shepherds Bush Empire intent on not missing my connections homeward bound, no fun at all...

I'm going on both days (30 something-but only just!-in a CoRo t-shirt) and doing an early morning shift at work on Friday. I know it's going to kill me but it's just gotta be done!

Cheers, Geoff.

Hi Geoff, I live in Surrey too, I'll probably bump into you running for the last train! I missed the tube connection last year & ended up paying a fortune for a cab, don't want to do that again!

hee a Surrey posse! well I'm two miles South of the border in Hampshire ..so I can join you guys in hatred of early finishing trains - it's a total nightmare for the theatre too (la la - particularly if you favour stage door visitations afterwards!)

thankfully I don't need to get (to my) home tonight ... last year I think we managed to get to bed at about 3am after even missing the last night bus.. I have vague (actually no..crystal clear) recollections of wandering the streets singing Don't Let's Start and asking random police officers the way (not to Surrey!)

See everyone tonight - I think we might be having some fun !

I remember being gutted that I to had to drag myself away from an End Of Tour aftershow party at the Empire a few years ago just to catch the last train. I was so pleased to be invited but the the reality struck me that I could only stay for 15 minutes

I'll have to amend my description of myself now, I've been in the Brighton sunshine so my face now matches the colour of the CoRo 'T-shirt'!

Cheers, Geoff.
