Re: Troubador - October Dates

May 20 2005, 3:55 AM

I go now and shoot myself... sob

From all the dates possible, why, oh why has it to be THAT weekend? It's the weekend from Ring*Con, I work there, so the only chance I have to at least see the friday show is by moving heaven and earth and possibly hell.

That really sucks. Just my usual luck again. sigh

On a brighter note, I'm more than happy that as for now it looks like the Troubadour gets to be part of the regular touring locations, which REALLY is a blast. Thanks so much guys.

I have to say I'm VERY pleased with the dates. They coincide with a Battlestar Galactica convention I'll be attending in Heathrow, which means I already have a hotel and travel sorted for the gigs. Unfortunately it means I'll only be able to do two dates of the tour again (one day I swear I'll manage more), but it saves me around £150 so I'm happy.

May 20 2005, 10:09 AM

That is really, really excellent news. Everyone pray that my timetable at uni will not be too harsh. Slightly worried about what I will miss. Oh well, thats basically Freshers Week and who does any work then ?!?!?!

Same here Naomi. The only thing I might have trouble with in Fresher's week is potential mock exams, but hey, I'll book CoRo first and think about the rest later!! Yay for the Trouabdour!

Back To Granny's Basement!

May 20 2005, 1:06 PM

Wow!

Well after one of the toughest weeks I've known, I've enjoy a good gig by KT Tunstall. Then yesterday a totally amazing gig by The Mediaeval Baebes. And now I get this excellent news - well they do say all good things come in threes!

What can really add other than to say "Tickets booked"

See ya' in five months time,
Geoff.

(Hmm, I wonder if my budget will stretch to a EF 85mm f/1.8 lens for the camera this time...)

YAY!!!

I come back from New York on the 13 Sept, then London? My poor bank account, worth it though!

Hmm, now who can I drag with me...?

Gutted to say that I doubt if I'll be going to either gig. In the words of Simply Red...."Money's too tight to mention". I just don't see how I can possibly afford to go.

I'm sure there are plenty of people to tell me all about it though.

Buy tickets anyway, Kat. You don't want to find that you CAN go, but can't get tickets!

I can't go, but I love to hear my mates are going.

The whole point is that I don't have the money to buy tickets. I can manage to go time-wise, and I'm certain I can find somewhere to stay, but ticket and transport costs make it impossible.

Maybe next time.
