It was just announced on the Booster Events website forum that Common Rotation will be playing at the Key Club from 9-10 pm on July 29th, to be followed by Kane.

Also announced is that CR will have a dealer's table at the convention on Saturday July 30th.

Here are links to both the website for the event and to the forum where it was just announced. Check it out people, this looks like a GREAT event!

It was hard to find the location info, but this event is in Los Angeles, California.

If anybody goes, give us a report. Looks like a fun event.

It looks like the guys are playing on July 30th (Sat) and not the 29th. It's very tempting to try to go...I've never seen KANE but really like their music. Plus...CR.

Whoops, my bad on not giving the location, sorry. I really did think the concert was on the Friday night too. Maybe I just can't read after working 2 overnights and being up all day inbetween.

Thanks for the correction B.

Sleep is an interesting thing that doesn't happen much on work days, lol. Unfortunately the people who mow lawns around here seem to think that daytime is a good time for that when I'm trying to sleep.

BTW--Regan and I had been planning on going to Booster Events for months now, so it's really nice to see that a CR show has been added. This just made an already great event even better. It almost makes up for the second half of the trip we were planning getting kind of cancelled on us.

So far, dealing with the promoters has been pretty awesome. They're doing a great job!

Deb and I were planning to go to this for months now..have my plane ticket and everything. But Common Rotation being there is a nice surprise!

Hi.. I want to clarify. Common Rotation will be playing at the Key Club on Saturday night. Common Rotation will not be at the dealer's table at the convention on Saturday- they will have one of their sales reps selling their CDs, etc.

Sorry Denise about my first post stating that the concert was 7/29. Unfortunately there isn't an "edit" option here, lol.

I was too tired when I posted the original post. Thanks for the official clarification!

Concert Prices

June 26 2005, 8:01 PM

The Key Club is huge. Based on that and the fact that both Common Rotation and Kane have local LA fanbases- ticket prices are $35 for everyone. They can be ordered on our site ahead of time or purchased at the door. There is no assigned seating- so you lose nothing by purchasing on site. Doors are 6 pm and we'll have a DJ until CoRo is on.

Announcements

July 22 2005, 1:53 PM

Hotel

Due to reservation problems people were having- our convention rate is good all the way until the start of the Bash. Upgrades to suites can also be done. Convention rate for a Century suite is $450/night.

Guest News

Well, guys, it's a first for Boosters and I hate to have to announce this. Alexis has had a family matter arise which prevents him from attending the Bash.

HOWEVER!!! (And this is why we ALL love Alexis)- He feels really bad about not being able to attend, so he's going to come to the banquet. How entirely sweet is that?

It kills me to announce a cancellation, since we've had such a good track record. However, it can't be helped and I admire a man who puts his family first.

Anyone who had a photo with Alexis, please contact Vicki and she will transfer your photo op to another actor of your choice. If you had a "Death Among Friends" or a "Twisted Cupid" photo shoot, she'll transfer it to another group photo op of your choice.

Extra Alexis autographs can be transferred to Julie Benz, Stephanie Romanov or Andy Hallett.

We are working on signing a replacement and will do the best we can with the short time we have left.

What are the special rates for the convention?

Re: Booster Events

The hotel is expensive normally, so a regular room with 2 double beds at the convention rate is $199/night...and the century suites are $450/night. Normally, a regular room is over $350/night, so it's a pretty good deal. This event is just being held at a very nice hotel.

How do you get the convention rates (if they're still available), and also, I checked the website and a regular room with 2 double beds was only $205 a night...?

Re: Booster Events

I believe you have to purchase tickets to the convention to get the convention rate. There was a link to the hotel via Booster's website at one point, but I believe I got that after I purchased my ticket.

Re: Booster Events

Also, keep in mind when you are placing your booking, that the convention organisers often get a portion of the room rate when you book the hotel. This can be really important in terms of the profitability of the con. It may not matter to you if the con makes a loss, but that's gotta come out of someone's pocket, and it may mean that any future cons an organiser is planning are reconsidered.

(Disclaimer: I am not with BE, am not going to the BB - would love to though - and have no info or otherwise about the con. It's just something that's been mentioned by an organiser in the past when it was found that people were booking through the hotel's website for a slightly cheaper rate. It actually made the con unviable without using profits from other cons to prop it up)
