Just posting to state the obvious: I'm nervous!

Those who have met me or know me, know this. I'm a big bundle of nervous energy all the way until we're driving home. *rolls eyes* No idea why either.

See ya guys tomorrow....whoever's going....

Re: R & R, NYC - Fri, Feb 17, 2006

February 18 2006, 4:28 AM

Jessie, Terrie and I did the car pool thing for this show, Jessie picking me up from my work place. Right now I'm back at work after Jessie dropped me off. Since I'm away this weekend and I don't know if I'll uploading abilities at the hotel, I thought I'd log in here for the all important set list. Thanks Matt!

I still have to continue my trip to my hotel, so no long winded report from me.

The R&R is one of the darkest venues where I've seen the band perform. So, alas, only a couple of photos.

Guess which song?

Yes, you win if you said that this is right before "It's Always More Than Once Before It Takes". I love how Adam holds a mallet in each hand but plays the glock with his right hand except for the very last note which he delivers with the mallet he holds in his left hand.

Since that photo had Adam and Eric, here's one of Jordan.

And here's one with all the boys.

Sadly, that's pretty much it for photos. The others around me taking photos said that there's weren't coming out either.

Oh, and here's the really lame flyer I made up for the show. Obviously made up before we found out the venue was for over 21, not 18.

I only have Paint to work with, and I definitely have no artistic ability. I hope this shames Holly back into making flyers again. I saw Holly and her friends Jarod and Steph at the show.

Now that I have the uploads out of the way, I'm on the road. I'll post my thoughts about the show after I get some sleep.

Hey, Julia, can I post that photo I took of you and the others? You'll have to name the others in the photo.

Before I pass out, here's the pics. Audio will be uploaded tomorrow since I don't have the software on the lappy yet....and it would require walking downstairs. And after sitting on the top of the bench, I don't really feel like walking.

Never again.

The best of the lot:

Which, in my opinion, is the best picture I've taken of Adam.

The rest:

Watcher got the pic I wanted. Adam crouching by the glock....but when I just when I clicked the picture, he stood up. sigh

And now....for sleep.

Watcher that glock pic is wonderful, and feel free to ramble at length when you have the time. It seems ages since those bongers visited the UK!!

Hey, just a hit and run. I'm at a hotel without free internet access, I'm borrowing somebody's computer and access. Where are the other comments for the show? JoAnn, Karen, Julia and sis, Holly. Is everyone at the Saturday show?

here I am! briefly only .. with family in Boston and going to the show after our very british Sunday lunch So no time to sit here ad talk too much - there is only so much Starbucks I can make the others drink whilst I'm connected. Great photos guys!! Free free to post that one watcher - love to see it Loved the show - state the obvious Jules. Big crowd. Much as the venue was a good space - especially for the audience seating .. very cozy.. mingly type of thing, I thought - we called it the dalmation room ..very spotty. ... we went to the Bitter End afterwards ...and got to hear a rockin band in there for free too .. best of both worlds! Hearing all my favourites again - yay Smile is on the CD you say Adam ... excellent! Hope Satan No is too. Better dash - if Surround Face makes a reappearance this afternoon or Answering Machine comes out to play ... will be all the more glorious - but I don't care - all good!!

What a show sry for so late a post but I didn't get home til 330 am i kissed hubby and went straight to bed after that. The guys were great the venue was kinda bad for photos but the boys were joking and cutting up on stage and I think they hung around after not sure though we left soon after cause of the monster ride home. I had fun and I did notice that Adam had a star on his hand like the crowd. They stamped you once you paid to get in. Couldn't tell if Jordan and Eric were stamped. they joked around with Brian and even he got in to it So all and all it was a good night I'll leave the blow by blow to Watcher and Jessie they are so much better at it than me.

And now for something completely different.

Audio: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=448WHB8R

This is my audio, and advantage me for placing the recorder by my feet this time. So none of my giggling can be heard....although at one point I thought I was going to stop breathing because of Adam and Eric.

Wednesday is my next day off of work, so I will be sitting down and writing out my review and transcriptions. When it's done, I'll post a link.

The R&R was a great place to hang out in. It has three seperate spaces for people to lounge, drink and chat. They also seem to have a nice set up for musicians, the stage was a good size with a curtain and a back room attached to the stage, unlike The Bitter End that made the guys have to weave through the audience to get to the stage. My biggest problem was the ottomans for the audience. Not the most comfortable, in my opinion. But there was a good turn out.

Absent friends, new friends, virgin CoRo fans, regulars and wanderers fill up the room. The space was also conducive to mingling so we all chatted and joked and built upon each other's excitement. I can't wait to do it again soon! Common Rotation is a wonderful reason to bring people together.

Peace Love and Cheese

Those are Paul Frank monkeys, aren't they?

And Mezzer....I had a brilliant picture of Adam and his "bongers"....it looked good on my camera viewer, and when I uploaded it, it was all sorts of blurry.

I shall try better next time. :)

Between that and the naughty hole in the knee of Adam's pants (which was absent....could he have gotten a new pair of concert jeans, *gasp*), I always keep the board members in mind when taking my pictures.

Yes, I know....I'm sick.

Jessie that's a shame but thanks for trying. My photos are usually a disaster so it's lucky other people take such great pics of the band.

I've never been to a Coro concert. I'd be surpised if I ever got to, in
fact. I'd be wondering if hell had frozen over. lol. But the only time
I've ever been to an event (a Dark Shadows fest), the pictures didn't
come out so well when I was taking them from afar, when the actors were
on stage. So, I highly doubt I'd have much more luck with taking pix
of the boys if I ever WERE lucky enough to attend a concert. It'd be
great to test that theory, though! :-D ~DJ
